[Resolved]  Reliance EDP Box — Expired contract + unresponsive customer service

Dear Sir, The EDP box was installed in our house in 2008 and since then it has been taking electricity from our power supply. Recently when I called up the Reliance Comm Magnum office in Lucknow, I was told to refer to the contract paper and see that the Rs 1000 / month rent included electricity charges also. When I read the contract I got to know the following - 1 - The rent includes only space + facilitation charges (no electricity) 2 - The contract expired in 2010 and was never renewed by the company After this all my attempts to reach Reliance Comm officials led to nowhere. Calls were disconnected. Finally I got the email id of their legal adviser Rahul Mittal by one Mr. Vikas Dixit. My detailed e-mail to Mr. Rahul Mittal has again brought me no responses. Mr. Dixit has told me to only write to Mr. Mittal. Another employee Mr. Praveen Singh has also shown no interest in solving the issue. And all these employees are connected to the EDP department (there nos were shared by the Magnum Office). Since the contract term has expired, if I do not receive any prompt response, I intend to get the box un-installed from my premises. If that leads to disruption of services, I will not be answerable as I have tried my level best to reach the company officials to get a new contract made - which gives revised rent that reflects the space and electricity charges of the present times...not something that was signed 7 years ago. Request you to please reach us at the earliest for a solution. We do not wish to make things bad if we can help it.
