[Resolved]  Reliance My Gold Plan — No clue why this plan is being sold

Hi First of all would like you people to train your sales guys well before they are sent out to sell your products. I would have never opted for this plan until and unless the sales guy was a known one to my colleague. The First option I was pitched as an option that I was free to surrender the plan anytime without any charges after Six months. However this was rectified by the call center as a welcome call that I need to get going for at least five full years and will be charged heavily if opted for a pre matured surrender. I though opted for the pre matured Surrender after nine months and I was asked to pay a maturity advice of Rs 836. Which I paid online on 5th February 2014 and a receipt was generated with number FP-006568. I was asked to choose within the option of Gold Coin and Jewellery Voucher to which I opted for Jewellery voucher. I was told that the voucher will be dispatched to my communication address within 15 working days. To my surprise I received an revised maturity advice yesterday with an amount of Rs 1260 without any prior information without any phone call and when enquired you people are telling that you do not have any tie up in Jharkhand for Gold voucher and can only pay in form of Gold Coin. Now is this a fault of consumer if you guys do not have a tie up in any state of this country. Why was this not told at the time of sale. Why was this not informed when we enquired about the surrender. Why was it again not told when we paid the maturity advice of Rs 836. Why was this plan sold in a state where you don't have a tie up for jewellery voucher. It will be interesting to listen from SEBI or the Approving authority on what ground the plan was approved to be sold to public.
