My Renault Scala also have very hard cluth and when I raised it to service, they said I can drive a new one it is same and not hard, I travel one hour daily and I feel pain in my left leg because of this, my Hyundai Santro was better and never had such issue so that means I bough a new car that is pain full and older one was smooth.


Why these service guys tries to prove you wrong rather try to fix the issues.

No response untrained manpower and false report by workshop adviser .you will not get your problem resolved till the time you do not make complaint to customer care .Health issue also came to me by using their product .My Renault scala also has very hard clutch .not easy to drive in traffic and no one listening me ..i am helpless and going to consumer court and ... i am going to put a sticker on the rear window explaining troubles i faced with reno.

They are still tiring to proof me wrong

hi I use Renault 85 ps the clutch is so hard I find very uncomfortable driving the car
infact I am thinking to dispose the car . severe pain will be there in my left leg.
Repeated complaints to the service advisor for rectification of the same during service
has not yielded good result. After all this my experience with Renault duster is very
pathetic . answer from the service advisor is Renault vehicle clutch is generally

Hi, i am using duster and i find its clutch very hard to press... But here i want to know that whenever we need to shift the gear, how much clutch should be pressed, problem is this when i press the clutch full it stuck there and resultant car jerked... But this all happens when i press clutch full, that's why i want to know... Should we press the clutch full while shifting the gear?

Hi friends...i have just bought renault duater 85 PS on Aug 24 2016 and after driving 700 kms there are multiple problems started coming like clutch ia very hard, Gears stucked while driving and very surprise to see meter lights automaticaly off when car gets into any patholes...very disappoitment and it clears shows that they have sold me a faulty car as well the interior is very poor...quality of plasfic is third classs, it createa lot of noise...Mr car no js HR 51 BK 7333...now renault people are saying will call tecnician to see the issue but tell me one think why would i bear it the loss now if there j a fault then they should replace or repay my money back...it was my hard earned money...now m just struggling and roaming behind them for rwsolution from last one month...now my car has completwd 4500 kms...

Similar story here. Till sometime back, my dad was a proud owner of the Renault Duster, for over 4 years. But he has developed a horrible pain in his left knee on account of the hard clutch. The pain has been in an incremental manner and built up over these 4 years of ownership. But he never could relate the pain to the heavy clutch. Only later did he realise that the pain occurs only when he drives the vehicle. The pain now is so bad that, the doctor has asked him to go for a knee surgery. It is difficult for him to drive now. He has stopped driving completely. Service advisor says that this is how the clutch is supposed to be. A horrendous experience. Never ever would suggest anyone to buy this car.

I am driving a Renault duster RXL diesel which has run 55000 km. The clutch is very hard to press and is causing problems in heavy traffic. I am staying is Bangalore North. What I want to know is whether the thread going on that Renault duster has a design problem of hard clutch or whether my car has a problem and can be rectified. If so I would like to have the car serviced to have the clutch smooth.

I have bought renault duater 85 PS on Sep 2014 and after driving 70000 kms there are multiple problems started coming like clutch is very hard, 1st Gears stuck, after the discussion with Service station, they suggested to replace the clutch assembly, kindly request you to updated your comment. call me +91 [protected]

sir im using renault duster since last three year km 70k but its staring and clutch are verry hard i complain about it to sarvice center dehradun but they don't solv my complain its coz pain in my leg in traffic

i think i will never sujjest to someone for purchase reno coz of its hard clutch [protected]

Even my duster 110 ps is having the same issue... I just replaced the clutch set but didn't resolved the issue... Please help me.

Duster is having issue with clutch I don’t know why. If you ask the service station simply they will say change it but no use of doing that you will not get the solution. Very disappointed !!

We have 2013 top end model duster. Clutch is really so hard to drive in Chennai traffic :( .Took the car to service center they are saying it's manufacturing fault it cannot be fixed. I am a doctor and I am getting sev leg pain if I drive in city traffic even for one hour

I purchased the top-end model of the duster Deisel 110ps version in May 2013. It has completed 120000kms. Two issues I want to share with you.
1. The clutch is very hard. Is there any method to make it smooth?
2. Steering also very hard

I have Renault duster 110 ps RXZ and it’s cover 90k KM problem is in clutch is very hard to press I changed clutch plate, pressure plate, release bearing, clutch cylinder but the problem is not solve what to with that plzz suggested me

My duster car having clutch problems, it is little tight, now service engineer said almost all duster car having this complaint, for changing its part cost around Rs.26000/ so my opinion don't buy Renault car to avoid your headache, my car is 2016 model, 50000 km
