Issue and sequence of events : Our Sofa cum bed was delivered 2 weeks back and today we had to replace it, where the first delivery was approved explaining the logistic challenges and risk of damaging the apartment and private property considering the weight and complexity of lifting the delivery object.
The same was also approved initially on Thursday 4:15 pm, and later the decision was changed/ overruled due to internal miscommunication within the MC members at around 4:25 pm. We were then abruptly and in an absurd manner, stopped from completing the shifting of the bed.
We tried all aspects, including efforts to get it from 8th block passage, we took the bed to basement from our house and found passage was blocked by the cylinder delivery guy who parked it at the doorstep of 8th block lift.
We explained all this to the security incharge and MC members and requested multiple times but all this went through deaf ears.
Result - We had to get the defected bed from basement to ground floor, which weighs 220 kg till the car charging area. Had to lift the new bed from there till 8th block. During this period, I and my wife kept begging to security incharge to allow us to take it up, while it was initially approved.
I don't want any sympathy but also mentioned that my dad has undergone mouth surgery and got discharged just a night before and other health conditions in the family.
Question : we have 52 weeks in a year, and easily for around 28 weeks we have some events or stalls near playground, 7th and 8th block where they carry stuff like banners, chaat, golgappa and other items not heavier than 20-30 kgs. Why are those vendors allowed regularly?
Just because they pay to the MC and a healthy revenue source, you allow them to bring trucks and personal cars also to the area. But I as a resident explaining all limitations and providing justification can't be allowed? Can someone please explain to me?
I beleive we are all equal in this society and bound by similar laws, then why different yard stick?
Resolution and next actions:
I request MC to share with me bylaws or amendment to the law under which these vendors are allowed inside but any such exigency is excluded.
OR
Ensure no vendor whomsoever is allowed on any weekend or events to take up their commercial or private vehicles near playground area/ skating ring or in front of any block. Like I was denied after asking approval, you MUST take signatures from all 507 flats before doing this. I will personally monitor this.
