Saraswatibai Bishwambharlal Charity Trust — Misuse Of Electric Meter Rooms in Maheshwari Mansion
The electric meter rooms of all the three wings of Maheshwari Mansion are adjacent to the lifts on the ground floor of each wing. The electric meter rooms of B and C Wings are being misused. Wooden doors have replaced the old collapsible iron doors of both the electric meter rooms. Garbage, plastic, wood, paper, cardboard boxes, etc., are being dumped into the electric meter rooms and the electric meter rooms are being used as garbage bins and store-rooms. Yesterday, at around 4 p.m., Jayesh Veera who is a resident of flat no. 32 in `C' Wing, handed to the security watchman of `C' Wing, two cardboard boxes and a bag and further instructed him to keep them in the electric meter room. At that time, I was ipresent n the lift lobby on the ground floor. Upon my complaint to Malabar Hill Police Station, two women police constables from Malabar Hill Police Station visited the site and the boxes and bag were removed from the electric meter room of `C' Wing. Just a few months ago, in March 2015, officers from Mumbai Fire Brigade had inspected the building for violation of safety norms in the building. Was this information helpful?
