SBI Credit Card — SBI GOLD AND MORE ADVANTAGE CARD - CARD CANCELLATION , FEES REVERSAL AND UNBLOCKING FD AMOUNT

Dear sir, This is with regards to sbi gold advantage credit card [protected], that i received on 04th feb 2015 on my name Goverdhan chandwani. i am a retired GM from sail Bhilai, who is not well aware of procedures for getting credit card.i had visited sbi branch in nehru nagar in jan 2015 for routine visits and was lured in to credit card stuff by one personnel there named Mr. Manish - [protected], who misled me with regards to card usage and limits by giving me false details. It was told to me by him that after doing a FD of 20000 rupees, i can avail limit of 75000 rupees and use the card.I had specifically asked him that i wished to get a limit of more than 50000 but can do FD of 20000 rupees only, he had confirmed me the same saying that he is well versed with process as he does this job routinely. On receiving card i saw limit of 14000 rupees usage & 7000 rupees cash.i called up this representative immediately and asked him about the same.he said, not to worry as limit is raised automatically after using it once and calling customer care.i told him to confirm the same from his boss & guide me.i took number of his boss for same - Mr. Jitendra [protected], as this guy sits in sbi card office in sector 1 branch, i asked him the way in which i should cancell this card and do i need to visit sector 1 branch for same.he told me to call customer care for same as they can't do much about it. i spoke to customer care immediately on 04 feb 2015 and it was revealed to me that card has to be cancelled and returned & a fresh card taken for any requirements as limit can be extended by making a new FD of 75000 rupees and this FD money will be returned once card is cancelled.i immediately told customer care guy that since i have not used this card as i have just received it, i wish to put up a request to cancell card and return my fd amount and i don't intend to pay any card charges as wrong card has been sent to me.Customer care representative confimed that card will be cancelled and money not charged to me .He gave me a cancellation request[protected] and told me that by 09 feb 2015 this procedure will be done and then i can put up a request for lein letter and take my FD Back. i called up this guy jitendra who then told me that manish is a new person and by mistake he misguided me.i told him that there is no problem if he can do the required procedure and get my FD Money back asap.he told me to wait for some days as i have raised request to customer care.he told me not to worry as card will be cancelled and i'll not need to pay any fees and fd will be released in a month. On receiving first card statement i got a shock that i have to pay some 568 rupees.i called up manish and asked him same, he said he has left the job and i should speak to jitendra.i called up jitendra, he said to pay 568 rupees and then only this card can be cancelled. i understood the fraud that was done with me, and called up customer care on 28 feb 2015. On 28 feb 2015, when i called customer care, i was told sorry as this card has not been cancelled yet and then i was given another complaint number 1 - [protected], and was told that card will be cancelled and fees reversed, along with unblocking of FD by 6 march.To bring to your notice i would like to remind that this customer care number is not toll free and there is waiting period of 15 - 20 mins which is being charged, before you speak to required personnel.sometimes one has to keep calling and call gets disconnected.basically my intention to tell this is that i have been charged nearly 500 rupees in calling to get my card cancelled and fees reversed. On 11 march 2015, to check status of my card i called up customer care again and was again told sorry that card can not be cancelled as annual fees has to be reveresed 1st, and was given complaint number[protected] & [protected] & was given a deadline of 1st april by which card will be cancelled and fees reversed.so that i can apply for lein letter after that and get my FD. On 17 march 2015, at 1900 hrs to check status of my request i called up customer care again, and i noted the persons name this time, NITESH DUBEY, he confirmed that account has been closed and card cancelled, and that amount will be reversed by 01 april 2015 as told to me prior.Once amount reversed i can raise a request for lein letter to withdraw my FD which will be couriered to me in 10 days of raising request.i was happy to see some results coming in to picture now. On 3rd april 2015, i called customer care to know about my card, the lady said that account has been closed and amount will be reversed in 48 hrs now and i will get confirmation by sms for same.then only i can give request to withdraw FD. today morning on 07 april 2015, at 1200 hrs i called up customer care and spoke to Mr. BIBIN, who confirmed account has been closed but fees has not been reversed.I asked him why, then he couldnt reply.i asked him to make me speak to his superior or any one from cancellation dept, after hesitating a number of times, finally he told me to wait so that he can make me speak to them.after waiting for 5 mins he told me no one is available and told me he is raising a fresh request and this will be resolved in 10 working days.i asked him do u know i am charged every time i call and you guys put me on hold and say call again in 10 days, what sense does it make???..he gave me a request number again 1 - [protected] . i told him am going to raise this issue on facebook and consumer forum so that people know what you guys are doing with retired unaware personnel and people should stop using your service.he said not to worry as required procedure will be done soon and i should wait for few more days. Sir, am very tired of calling up these guys and running around.please advise and help me in solving my issue.i need the FD amount for domestic daily needs and these people are making us senior citizens suffer at this old age too.pls help.
