SBI Credit Cards — THREATENING & HARASSMENT CALLS FROM SBI RECOVERY AGENTS

We have received call on our office landline asking for one of our staff member. He identified himself as calling from Delhi High Court. As we have policy that unwanted calls or unofficial calls are not diverted to employees - the call has been given to me as HR Head. The call was received from[protected]. When we asked for identify of employee asked for and reason he told that he will revert. When asked whether it is official or personal at first instance he told it is official call. When we told him that in such case he can discuss the issue with us as I was handling all legal matters related to the company he told that it is personal. We informed him that personal calls are not allowed during official hours unless it is very urgent. When we again asked for identify the employee properly he disconnected the call.

After some time he called and asked for particular employee with designation. This time he identified himself as calling from SBI credit card division. Since he already made a call with different identity and the employee asked for is a female, to safeguard her interest as a female, we categorically told him that his call will not be transferred. If it is personal he can get in touch with her on her personal number or in her residence and no calls will be transferred to employee.

After few minutes, I received call from +[protected] and he started abusing me and threatening me by giving all my identity which are available with all banks including my family etc., and he also threatened that he will ensure the payment collection is done through me only as I am not connecting her and my family will be tortured. Again and again I received call from +[protected], +[protected], +[protected], +[protected] etc., and he continuously disturbed by working. Every time he used abusing words and keep irritating.

Finally we have called the employee and asked for explanation. Also connected the employee with the collection agent.

However, the SBI recovery collection agent have spoiled my work for about 2 hours and it is totally not acceptable. There is no guarantee that he will not call again and again and threaten us.

This is totally cross violation of privacy by calling any one and threatening who are not at all linked with your cards / loans etc and the SBI should compensate for my mental torture and loss of business hours.

After inquiry we also note that the person has called lot of our seniors and disturbed their works.

Did any one help us how we can take action against such unsolicited harassment calls from SBI collection recovery agents.

I just now received a call from +[protected] and identified himself as SBI general Manager. He asked for all details and also took the numbers from where the calls received. Finally he told he will organise a call back.

Sir plZ help us credit card goons started misbehaving with me coming home regularly and calling us on company landline and cologues phone they also informed hr and today hr tell my husband to fire him from job we are regular paying our bill sir then why they are doing this even they misbehaving n following me on streets I’m very much scared n in threaten I’m decided to commit sucide plZ help us my num is 8851720763

Hi There,

I am extremely tensed as SBI credit card department Mr. Happy Jain is continuously calling and threatening my friends and Family members. He mentioned in one of his call today only that warrants had been issued against me to arrest me and will be sending local police to my home.

Due to which my family is tensed, they don't allow me to work apart from this abusive language was used by one of the SBI official in the month of November of which recording is saved with me. This is annoying and I am extremely tensed and my family is also suffering.

Kindly treat this as urgent.

hello Sir this is NARESH from Thane a Cal from SBI Credit card division is continuously calling me and threating that he would do legal actions on me and would forcedly withdraw the payment when I asked him about the details he denied and told me that even the police are with him which I'm very much annoyed I just don't understand what to do the office they said me is in kalian Windsor and when I told them I would like to meet the senior officials they didn't want me to do so as he told me that nobody is allowed to do so else he would come and collect it he is not ready to share the details and demands money so plz help me out of this.

Kindly refer to the trail mail to SBI regarding the LOST of Credit Card.
I was a holder of your SBI credit card whose last 4 digit is 9465. Kindly note i have lost this card more than 5 years and had reported the same multiple times.
I had cleared all the dues and had requested to close my account to your customer care. But even after repeated reminders through phone calls, at office and E-mails to your customer care and feedback department my issue hasn't been sorted.
I feel Mentally harassed as i keep getting messages & Letters at my residence regarding pending dues, which doesnt exists. Every month i receive a letter with added dues, i haven't used the card ever since it has been stolen.

I kindly request you to take necessary action on immediate basis as thiis is highly unprofessional behaviour from SBI end.

Please note I am not interested in using your card in future and also not even interested in receiving any communication from your bank. kindly delete my data from your system as I don't hold any liability to SBI card department. I will be forced to take legal action if this case doesn't close asap.

I had used sbi credit card for 8months and bill is 80000 as due to some reasons i was unable to pay my amount and i had got call debt collector name sidhu from begumpet sbi bank, i was asking time to repay my credit card or i asked to settlement in to emi process, but he was not listening to me and using very abbusing language and thearting my life i was very panic on this situation and i was unable to continue my life in proper way and if not i was ready to suscide if action not taken i was ready to die.

kindly please requesting bank to give me some time to pay my credit card so that without fail i will close my card
Sbi card is the worst credit card in recent times...I have card of hdfc and stan chart and these guys are so polite...Whereas sbi card collection dept os the worst collection dept in kolkata...They are based in apeejay house ... Ms.Priyanka das ghosal the person concerned and mr.Arun of sbi crdit card based in apeejay house ...Threatned me of police..But that is illegal from her part to threat a customer like that whereas no credit card dept can go to police if the due is not paid...This bogus collection dept has no work but to abuse the customers...Lets c sbi dept how far this matter goes and we will take it legally snd then settle the due concerned...And also the harrsament and threats u people are givibg to your customers...We also know law not only you people know.
This is in regards to Multiple calls and threatening WhatsApp message from SBI credit card.They keep calling from different numbers in working hours which is not possible to answer.Then the Assistant manager Abhay sends a WhatsApp threatening to ruin my Sibil score and send executives to my home.Outraging a woman's modesty is not acceptable but he doesn't seem to care.The amount I need to pay is Rs.220 according to the msg he sent me on WhatsApp and it's a wonder that these cheap classless people harass for Rs.220.

I humbly request the SBI Bank to kindly stop harassing its own citizens and give us time to pay.Not everyone is a relative of The Ambanis.
hi I had a sbi card years back in 2005. due to an unavoidable reasons I couldn't pay complete money ... I have been speaking to the sbi DSA guys girls regarding the same . there have been forcing me to pay the amt wherein I do not have as due to my financial situation . I m still in debit . and in a very bad statenough. however these DSA THEY threaten that they know where I m working . how ridiculous.

I have requested that I will b able to pay 10k and do a settlement . But which they do not understand I won't be able to pay .

today after couple of months I received a call from [protected] this no stating his name is Rajesh and then he transfered the call to Punit Choudhary. who stated he is an Sr manager. spoke very rudely . The DSA named Smart in East Delhi.

Please help me i am getting calls from SBI credit card department for almost 50 to 60 times a day and if i am not receiving there call then they are calling to my office employees and harrasing me like we will sent police to your residence and even they are calling my friends from my social sites and now my office seniors are telling me to just leave the job or we will terminate you please help me in this situation

I am recieving calls from credit card two years old, bill is around rs 65 k, they are abusing me, my wife, and saying that even police is on their side, using foul language, and with dire consequences, though i am ready to settle the card but from next month onwards in 3 monthly installments.

Sbi credit card collection department is too worse in comparison with others. they threaten like anything and use very bad language they didn't even listen whether the opposite person is he or she they keep using slang they are forcing to pay the full amount where as i use to pay in every month . after that also they keep disturbing me, first of all i have not gone to you for asking a credit card that your product and you have given us to use they are harassing like anything which they dint have any rights to do so.they dint even know how to talk with a customer. i also saved the recording which i can use against them.

My father was a State Govt Employee and retired in 2004. My Father used SBI Credit Card of an amount of 18000 & which was limit of 25000 . He paid 4 months minimum amount due and later when he desired to pay full outstanding amount it was shown more than expected actual outstanding. He had Spoken with customer care and they reduced lil amount but he was unhappy and decided to withdraw the usage of card and informed bank people that he will pay only outstanding amount . After long discussion they suggested for settlement and settled it he paid the actual outstanding amount and took the settlement letter and the receipts. The whole story happened in 2004.

After 2004, we received call today in 2020 by recovery goons and threatening him to pay the dues of 1lac 10 thousand. My father is 77 years old he underwent in to stress .

The recovery agents threatening my father to pay the whole amount else, his whole monthly pension will not be received.

I had spoken with them they told me am unauthorised to speak on this issue. I told them to issue legal notice and will approach court with our evidences along with evidence .

Please guide us how to tackle them . Every point of time they're threatening us. My parents are 77years old . My father is unable to take this harrasment.

I had a credit card ending with 2507 which was used before 3 years but now we are facing a financial problem due to covid but after financial problems we are continuously paying the amount 40k in the last 3to4 months. I am extremely tense as the SBI credit card department is continuously calling to me and my office employees, cologues, family members & also relatives from mobile no.[protected], [protected] & [protected] and they used to abuse and harass. 
We are continuously talking with the SBI credit card department against due payment and we tell them that we have cleared the dues also I am paying today Rs.3000. After that the SBI credit card department is continuously calling me and  harassing and we unable to take this harassment. We request you to take necessary action on an immediate basis as this is highly unprofessional behaviour from SBI end.

Hi SBI Credit card Team,

i have an outstanding payment in SBI credit card. I took a settlement in the month of April 2021. My settlement date is 20th April 2021. One of the executive from SBI called me today and spoke with me very rubbish. He is threatening me and my family with abuse language. I took a credit from SBI not to that particular person. My settlement amount is 30K. After that call i paid 20k. I dont want cheat money. But this is not the way to treat your customer. SBI intentionally appointing this type of gundas to threaten people?
