Skechers India — defective shoes

I had purchased the shoes at a store at Pune. Started wearing them after a period of 3 months. There was a defect at the heel counter which caused an ulcer at the heel. I approached the store they refused for any exchange. I started writing mails, received ticket no. through mail I was assured that if there is a defect the item will be replaced. I deposited the shoes at the store again. This afternoon made a call at the customer care, the concerned person told me that our "quality check" will not be able to approach us today. Immediately within a span of 5 minutes I got an email that the quality check team says that it cannot be exchanged since the defect is not a manufacturing one. I am really disappointed with the shoes and with the attitude of the workers at Skechers. I have been harassed for a week with all the dishonest opinions . Prior to this episode, being a physiotherapist, I always recommended my clients to buy Skechers footwear but after this episode I would never give any such suggestions. No.. you don't value your customers at all. I also know that no action will be taken after this mail as well hence I am sorry to say that I am approaching consumer forum.
