Ss Group — laptop not returned.

Address:New Delhi, Delhi

I had contacted “laptophomeservice.co.in” over phone for repair of my laptop, which had some physical damage and had slowed down. It was picked up from my residence on 08/08/2017 by technician “mr. P. R. Avery” from ss group (Address l-30 shastri nagar, p. N. B. Road, delhi 110052, phone [protected], service order form no. 23076). It was brought back on 18/08/2017, but the repair was incomplete and the keyboard was not functioning. It was taken back the same day and was brought back after completing the remaining repairs, but the keyboard was brought separately and installed at my residence, taking pliers, etc., from me. I was charged around 4000 rupees for the repairs. The laptop stopped functioning immediately after the technician, “mr. Pawan kumar, ” had left. I contacted him again for the same immediately, and on 26/08/2017 it was picked up for repairs again by technician “mr. P. R. Avery”, but, as i realized later, the service order form was in the name of laptop home service but with the same address (Address l-30 shastri nagar, p. N. B. Road, delhi 110052, phone [protected]) with form no. 24057. I was told later that additional expenditure of 3000 rupees would be required, to which i agreed. After a few days of followup and promise of same day or next day delivery, i was told that the additional expenditure would be 6000 rupees instead, which also i agreed to if it could be returned completely repaired, fully functional. Ever since, i have been asking for delivery (Even without any further repairs) of the laptop and whenever i contact their office at [protected], i am casually promised delivery the same day or next day, but they never keep the promise, and now it has become frustrating even to call them up. It has been two months since it was picked up for repairs initially and it looks like they do not intend to return the laptop at all.

Kindly advise what needs to be done to get my laptop back. If some action can be initiated based on this complaint, kindly do so, i shall be obliged. If a police complaint is to be registered, would it be at the police station under which their office is located or would it be at the police station near our residence.

With regards

Jose joseph
