[Resolved]  State Bank of India — Dishonor of Demand Draft

I have made one Demand Draft for the payment of registration fees of $50 via State Bank of India (Andheri MIDC Branch, Mumbai). Details of Demand Draft is as follows: Payee: California Board of Accountancy Amount: $50 Maker Bank: State Bank of India (Andheri MIDC Branch, Mumbai) Date of Demand Draft: 11/07/2014 On 01/10/2014, I got one letter from California Board of Accountancy stating that my Demand Draft gets Dishonored and only reason mention in the letter "REFER TO MAKER". I have contacted bank of NEW York about the same case to know the reason for dishonored but as per their policy, the said bank only give reason to State Bank of India. However I have enquired about the same on 16/10/2014 to the State Bank of India and I got the answer that they have forwarded the issue to the Bank of NEW YORK one week ago but they have not received any reply from Bank of NEW YORK. Due to DD got dishonored, I have to make once again payment of $75 ($50 - Registration Fees and $25 - Dishonored Check Fees) and Courier charges to California Board of Accountancy which would be around Rs.1500.
