[Resolved] State Bank Of India [SBI] — sbi - credit card fraud | |
I had received a fraud call dated 20th june, 2017 from the mobile number – 965493xxxx (True caller name shown as ‘state bank of india’), where the person mentioned that she is calling from state bank of india personal customer executive and further this call is about my cashback amount for using the credit card based on the reward points being accumulated on my credit card. The caller already have all the sensitive details of my credit card, dob regarding my name, card number, cvv and also the expiry date. She transfer the call to her manager for verification but i did not provide any details about my card because they already had all the sensitive details about my credit card. So, after having a discussion for almost 15 to 20 minute the manager of sbi told me that the cashback will be credited back to my account within 24 to 48 hours. Further, after few minutes i understand that my account has been debited by rs. 25000 where there are 5 transactions of rs. 5000 each. It was only then i understood that it was a fraud call. I immediately tried calling back on the same number, but the number was switched Was this information helpful? | |
