Tata Memorial Hospital — Radiation was done on wrong part of the body

C/s30776.My father was being treated in gi oncology by doctor otswal where he suggested for radiation. We went for radiation and it was done for five days. As we were told by doctor kavita to visit the OPD on the last day after radiation so did we. when we went inside there was some senior doctor who on seeing the scan started scolding dr kavita about the wrong planning of radiation. He just went away. I asked dr kavita about what had happened she was quite nervous at said everything was ok and the plan was made by dr r engineer. She started diverting the matter but i could see on her face that the treatment given was wrong. As my father was already depressed and i could not confront with any one and my knowing this would die before time. We are from Sikkim which very far from Mumbai. Such negligence by doctors is saddening. Junior doctors who are not perfect should not be allowed to handle such cases. Further there is no improvement in my father s health as the doc had said that the tumor would shrink after radiation. I want justice.
