We are the residents of Mallepally, living in a 2BHK flat since 2018 October.
Till september 2021 we have been paying the bill on time without fail.
But in september our apartment watchman handed us a notice which was given to him by the person who
changed our flat meter. The notice asked us to attend the testing session of our meter at Mint
compound office MRT lab.
The department person who changed the meter neither contacted us before removing nor informed us after
replacing, simply came and changed it.
When I went to MRT lab, i attended the testing on 11-11-21, the lab technician tested it and told me
that it was tampered.
* How can i trust this technician, he is putting the same blame on all the customers who came to
attend for their respective meter testing. The so called faulty meter was also connected and installed
by their department staff, but at the time of installing we never asked them to show and test in front
o[censored]s and give us guarantee of its authenticity.
* Secondly, the new changed meter which is installed now was also done without informing us, how can
we trust whether it is defective or not. Then after some days again they will mark it as defective and
faulty.
* Thirdly, the electricity bill consumption units charged for october was based on the maximum units
of a month which was consumed in the last 12 months. This is totally illogical and not acceptable.
Suppose i consumed maximum 300 units in the month of May, but my consumption reduces in the winter
season months to 100 units, so how can the department charge me the maximum consumed units of May at
the time of billing the new meter reading.
I humbly request the TSSPDCL department to clarify the ambiguities.
