On the of 31st December 2022, I was stopped by Unicef India representatives at Tollygunge metro stopped me and started explaining the Nobel cause, which motivated me to donated and I was clearly told atleast five to seven times that the first amount of Rs.1000/- would be deducted from my account after 30 days, I.e. after the 1st of February, the same information was confirmed by me several times and only on the firm word of mouth and few mail exchanges I agreed.
Soon after I got a routine check call from a telephonic representative o[censored]nicef India to confirm my involvement and I provided with the necessary information and in closing the representative casually mentioned my money will deducted on the 3rd of January. To which I said that I have been misinformed and that I'd like to discontinue my subscription as I was not in the position to give a huge amount like Rs.1000 by the 3rd January 2023 and the only reason I agreed to donate on the first place is based on the information provided to me by the ground representative that the money will be debited after 1st February 2023.
After which I could not connect with anyone till 2nd as the offices were closed for the weekend. I wrote a mail requesting my cancelation and got a call again to confirm the same and I requested to discontinued it ASAP befor my money is deducted, but no action was taken and today on the 3rd January 2023 at 5:10pm I got a message from NACH stating Rs.1000/- has been debited from my account, inspite of telling and requesting several times to cancel my subscription before money is deducted. Hence as a last resort I am reaching out to consumer forum to help me get my Rs.1000/- back as I am a hardworking honest citizen of this country and if my donation subscription is not canceled I'll lose this amount every month.
