I purchased an Urbn 20KmAh 35W Ultra Compact Pro PB Blk power bank on 27 December 2025 from Croma for ₹1, 699. The product came with a 6-month warranty valid until 27 June 2026.
On 10-11 June 2026 (WITHIN WARRANTY), I reported that the battery was draining too fast and not holding charge during normal use. Urbn confirmed my warranty was valid on 15 June 2026 and picked up the defective unit. They received it on 24 June 2026 (still within warranty period).
Urbn promised an update within 2 or 3 working days. They took 24 days to deliver a replacement unit on 18 July 2026. Unfortunately, this replacement unit is ALSO defective - it can only charge my phone 1 times before the battery completely dies.
For days, I have been ignored and received no updates. On 12 August 2026, Urbn claimed the warranty is "out of warranty" and rejected my claim, offering only a 20% discount code as compensation.
This is fraudulent and breaches the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Urbn:
1. Confirmed warranty was valid (15 June email)
2. Accepted my warranty claim (16 June email)
3. Caused delay by taking 24 days to deliver replacement
4. Sent a defective replacement unit
5. Ignored me for days
6. Now denies warranty using their own delay as excuse
The warranty was valid when I claimed. The replacement is defective. This is clear breach of warranty service.
