I am writing to bring to your urgent attention the extremely poor condition of the main road in Mahesh Nagar, near Dyal Bagh Chowk, Babyal Road, Ambala Cantt. This road has been in a state of severe disrepair for over a decade, and despite repeated appeals by residents, no meaningful action has been taken.
The road is riddled with deep potholes, uneven surfaces, and is perpetually covered in dust, making it hazardous for both pedestrians and vehicles. Daily commuters face frequent accidents and vehicle breakdowns, and the situation worsens during the rainy season. The lack of proper drainage and maintenance has made this stretch virtually impassable and poses a serious risk to public safety.
Despite being under the jurisdiction of a “triple-engine” government, including the local BJP-led municipal body, our grievances have gone unheard. The local corporator and municipal authorities have failed to address this long-standing issue, causing immense hardship to the common man.
We, the residents of Mahesh Nagar and surrounding areas, earnestly request immediate intervention to:
• Conduct a thorough inspection of the road condition
• Initiate urgent repair and resurfacing work
• Implement proper drainage and dust control measures
We hope the administration will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and take swift action to ensure the safety and well-being of the public.
