Vishal Mega Mart — GST profiteering - charging taxes on MRP

I went grocery shopping at Vishal; mega mart Khandwa (450001) purchased a few items along with detergent and handwash. they charged 37 rs tax on MRP of 230 rs and on handwash also they charged taxes. I don't think so its legal to charge taxes on MRP of the products.
