I purchased my VW Polo from Frontier Automobiles, Gurgaon in 2016. I used to get calls from the agency for service and the 1sr service went of well in 2017. In 2018 I get a call from Triumph Auto Pvt. Ltd, also a VW dealer from Gurgaon itself. I dont remember the name of the agency so I am assuming the call is from Frontier. They take my car for servicing and suggest I take an AMC for the same. I was almost forced to pay Rs. 23, 000/- and take the AMC. In 2019, I get a call from Frontier - Not from Triumph - for service. They take my car and tell me that they have a good scheme of AMC. Since it has already been 1 year, I completely forgot that I already had and AMC and if I already have an AMC, the company would obviously not ask me to take another AMC. All this while I am unaware that these are two agencies and that both of them are trying to Fleece me. Unfortunately, I purchased this AMC also at a cost of 25, 300/-. So I have paid both these companies a total of about Rs. 50, 000/- just for 2 - 3 services. In fact in 2021, I was charged additional Rs.16000/- for service. I only recently discovered the UNUSED AMC booklet sold to me by Triumph. I tried to explain the situation to them but they said that the AMC was valid only for 2 years!! This is totally unacceptable that a customer is fleeced by Volkswagen because of my blind faith in VW. I never thought that this would happen to me. I want Triumph to consider the AMC money that I have paid and honor the AMC, even though it is over 2 years. It was the responsibility of tiumph to also advise me that I have AMC and that they would give me service. They never did that. This is really sad and unacceptable. Was this information helpful? |
