[Resolved] Volkswagen India — Vento Diesel - Gear shifting problem from 4th to 5th Gear and Music System button unresponding | |||
My Vento Diesel(PB13AB8331) still under warranty and driven 30000km malfunctioned in gear shift . Gear shifting sometimes struck and doesn't shift from 4 to 5th gear. Now when on 6th September 2014, I visited the Swami Auto service center at Chandigarh and reported the problem, the service advisor told that gear shifter adjustment has been done, but after 4-5 days the problem was back with same feature of irregular gear struck. Since the vehicle near 30000km, i went for the second service of vehicle to Swami Auto service centre at Chandigarh. I gave the vehicle on 24th September and reported the same problem. Then the another service advisor on 26th told me that again gear shifter adjustment has been done but then i insisted them to tell me what exact problem did they find and i hard pressed that i need in writing the exact work done along with problem found on both the occasions. Then the service guy told that they need to open the gear box. This reflects that Volkswagen service center was just lying about solving the problem without touching the gear box. Now on 27th September, Service center told that they were unable to debug the problem. Now they say that problem could be in gear shifter or gear box. Without asking my permission they did a test drive on my vehicle for 40 odd kms and reported that they did not find any problem. Now they are asking me to make a video of the gear struck from 4 to 5th gear as and when the problem arise. So I am in limbo to take the vehicle on any highway where 5th gear could be used. I am a government officer and lot of time got wasted and suffered a lot . I feel frustrated that after paying 9 lakh to Volkswagen the vehicle goes bad within 2yrs and sub 30000km and that too in respect to gear problem. On top of it my Rs 35000 touch and GPS stereo fitted by Volkswagen with 2yr warranty also malfunctioning and service center reports that there is some virus in my pen drive but when i put the new pen drive the manual buttons of the player again dies out irregularly. I have already showed the malfunction to the service representative but now they are asking me to make a video for the same too. Its the height of poor customer service and I continuously called up service center to know the status of my vehicle in last 4-5 days, but they did not respond to my calls. Even if they pick up the call they say that they will get back to me to tell the exact status of my vehicle but there was no calling from service centre to me. My warranty period is about to expire in November end. I would like to ask the Volkswagen Management what should I do now ???? Was this information helpful? | |||

Swami Auto Service centre (Rohit Sardana) told that As I have reported the problem within warranty period and If my problem still persist after
warranty period then Volkswagen is going to resolve the problem without charging anything to me.
I Have a big doubt on this.
IS IT A POLICY OF VOKSWAGEN ???
Also yesterday, when i received a call from volkswagen customer care about my problem, then also i asked him about such policy if any, but he was clueless on this thing, rather he asked me to take extended warranty.( What a joke with a customer, , , warranty is not working and they want to sell extended warranty)
