[Resolved] Volkswagen India — Volkswagen Nellore Dealership Cheated me and I could not get extended warranty as a result of that | |||
Dear Sir/Madam, We have purchased Volkswagen Polo Trend-line Petrol car on 16-Sep-2011 at ATR CARS Nellore. In the month of July 2013, I wanted to purchase extended warranty and I approached Volkswagen Gachibowli, Hyderabad to purchase extended warranty and to my surprise I was told that my date of purchased is entered in the system as some date in March, 2011. Since the date of purchase crossed 2 years, the dealership refused to sell me extended warranty. I then approached VW Guntur on 12th of August and was given a similar response. I came back to Hyderabad and approached VW Gachibowli again to reconfirm the date of entry in your records. I got a response saying that the date of sale is entered as March, 2011. I was shocked at this and then called up your customer care to escalate the issue (Complaint Number CAL 34219). However, I did not get any resolution to my problem so far. I got a call from Mr. Narasimham, who is the GM of ATR Cars Nellore and he told me that “It is very common to enter a back date of sale in our system to show the sales figures (He claims that the south sales Manager Knows about this practice too) and the sales person seems to have forgotten to explain about the warranty issue during the sale”. He refused to talk about the issue any further and disconnected the call. I was shocked at his response. Highly unacceptable answer and unacceptable behavior by a person representing a GLOBAL Brand like VW. I would like you to understand 2 things. 1) Why was the purchase date entered as March 2011 when I purchased my car in 2011, SEPTEMBER?. Is it a practice that is followed across VW India as told by your ATR Cars Nellore GM Mr. Narasimham? 2) When I could not get the extended warranty because of VW’s mistake, would the onus not fall on VW to accept the mistake and offer me an extended warranty? Below are the details of my CAR. Vehicle Number: AP26 AM 1044 Owner Name: Ramavtahi N Complaint No: CAL 34219 The sales person at the time of purchase was Mr.Jayaraj. Purchased at ATR Cars Nellore.
