I am the owner of VW Taigun(TN99Y0527) and taken this car from Ramani Volkswagen, Coimbatore in January’2023 and it has run for about 7000 KM’s. Last Wednesday(29th November’23) when I was driving from Coimbatore to Bangalore, the car broke down in Salem. So the vehicle was towed to Salem Customer Service. The Service Agent gave me a call on 1st December and told me that Clutch Pad and Disc has burned out.
I was earlier driving a Polo and only reason why I have decided to take Taigun is because of the Driving Comfort and Safety of the vehicle. But that does not mean that you keep some faulty spares in the Car and Sell it to everyone. If you are saying, you have kept original spare part, then I would need answers to the below queries, especially point no:1
1. I have told in the 1st Service itself to Ramani Volkswagen Service Centre, coimbatore that I am feeling some issues with clutch especially when I am driving with Half Clutch in Traffic condition. They have told me that there is no issue with the Clutch and All good while delivering the car after 1st Service. If all is good, then I could not believe that Clutch pad will burn out in 2000 KM’s. Either the service centre has not seen the Clutch at all as part of the 1st service or the spare part was so bad that it will worn out in 2000 KM’s.
2. I have manufacturing warranty which says 2 years parts warranty and 1 year Accessory warranty and if so why I am being asked to pay for replacing the Clutch pad/Disc and that too Rs. 22, 600.(unless you will tell me a standard answer of wear and tear is not covered)
3. I was also advised to take AMC so that I will not have any labour charge when I am giving my vehicle for service from Labour Charge perspective. But here for Clutch Disc replacement, I am being asked to Pay Labour charges as well. Why should I pay for Labour Charge when there is an AMC coverage for the same.
It's absolutely not correct charging the customer when the service is shabby & absolutely not sure that the Spare Part is genuine.
I am using VW Cars from 2013 and the kind of Shabby Treatment I get is really not acceptable. I don't know how much important you will give to this Complaint, but hoping that you will address it in a positive way.
I have also send a Mail to VW Customer care today(4th December)regarding the same and Copied some of the Contacts I have from Ramani Volkswagen, Coimbatore.
