I got a call today from a number claiming he is from careerstep and they have tied up with a reputed company and that my resume is shortlisted for a job opening. But I will have to pay an amount of 2000 which I will get back on the day of face to face interview. I paid the amount (after searching for reviews for careerstep in general )and he connected me to HR who told me that the server is down and he cannot send the email right away. The numbers are : [protected] and [protected].
There are two careerstep sites ending with .in and .com. The one ending with .com is legit one I believe. The one which I signed up for was www.careerstep.in . Now after the call got over I tried logging in again to the website and am not able to do so.
I would like to get my money back and would really like if these people will get caught.
