We booked our flights from mumbai to rome with akbar travels. It was a connecting flight via abu dhabi scheduled to take off on the 2nd april. At[protected]
They had booked two separate flights with emirates mumbai-abu dhabi and abu dhabi rome. Which was their call not ours since we booked mumbai - rome with akbar travels.
We got a notification from emirates that the abudhabi - rome flight is cancelled considering the pandemic. We asked akbar travels for a refund on the whole trip as we couldn't travel just to abudhabi and since the whole world is getting affected, it was obviously not safe a d that too to rome.
Akbar travels has not once answered their customer care numbers. They reply to the emails after a week, sometimes two.
On 15th march, we got in touch with etihad, which said that we were eligible for a full refund and they mentioned that on the ticket, in a common forum between the agents and airlines.
We informed akbar of the same, no response. They kept stalling.
Once we got an email saying will get our full refund in 90 days
After a month we asked them on the update of refund. They first said that the airlines has to issue refund, which the airlines had already done. On checking again with the airlines they said, they haven't recieved the money since the flight had been cancelled and it's with albar. Then akbar changed their offer completely and said we will offer you a date change till june/july 2021
I don't need a date change. I need them to stop dodging calls and return our money which we asked them for way back in march. They need to own up and stop scamming customers. When it was issued once that we'll be getting our refund both by the airlines and them, they can't keep going back on their word, out of convenience. It's not a small sum, it's two tickets. And in the present situation every penny counts. Ridiculous behaviour in their part and no one is taking responsibility.

We had spoken to etihad airways on 15th and 19th March. They have our call logs to reconfirm. They had already added a note the our tickets are eligible for a full refund. You can check in the airlines-agent forum, that you have access too. We had put in our request a long time ago, if you take so much time, that's not our fault. The airways told us that you hadn't asked for a refund for the longest time, on our tickets. It is your job to give us the full refund. You had mentioned on your email as attached previously in the image, dated 28th March. Our bank policy is immediate. It has already been over 90 days.
