Amazon India — Unethical behaviour of courier service | |
I had ordered Ethnic Wear Rajasthani Chappals from Amazon.in and in the tracking it showed that the package has reached Hyderabad at 6:21 A.M and is out for delivery. I even got a SMS at 8:32 am that your package is out for delivery and will be delivered by Amazon agent (Mobile number: [protected]). Usually the agents contact you before delivery to know the exact location of the address. So you either expect to get a call in morning or afternoon or maybe late evening 6-7 P.M but if you don't receive it by this time you presume that the package will not be delivered that day. I went to my relatives house and at 9:05 p.m I receive a call from +91 [protected] not the official Amazon number supplied to me from the agent that he is ready to deliver the package. When I said so late in the night it is not possible and also he had not informed me earlier so I was not present to take the package. He said he will deliver the package tomorrow I said fine. The surprising and really unethical behavior which left me annoyed is today morning I receive a message on my mobile at 8:18 A.M that my package was successfully delivered. I thought this was some sort of mistake and quickly logged into my amazon account and was again flabbergasted to find that when I went to tracking details of my order it is showing that the order was delivered to me at around half past 11:00 P.M in the night (Who delivers and takes packages this late in the night) and also the tracking said that the receipt was signed personally by Syed Salahuddin Ahmed (me). I have not even seen the package or touched it leave alone receiving it and signing. This is very very unethical behavior from Amazon.in courier guy. I ask you how can the Courier guy sign the package on my behalf is this how you train them? I did not expect to face such trivial issues again and again. Anyway if Amazon.in is going to stay the same and work this way then probably I am thinking I should order on snapdeal or flipkart or so many others present there. I choose Amazon for its good service and recommended the same to so many of my friends and this is how I get treated. I hope you take necessary action and steps in this regard.
