My father had investment a sum of Rs 5 lacs in Redeemable Preference Shares (RPS) of the Amrit Projects (NE) Limited in 2013 which were due for maturity in 2020. However his father did not get the amount on maturity and the broker through which he bought the RPS is not traceable. And he has no idea what to do next.
When i googled about the facts, i came to know that SEBI has already ordered the company in 2016 to refund the said amount along with interest of 15% to the investors as company has accumulated the amount in violation of provisions of companies act 1956. However till date there is no update from the company on the refund amount.
Raja's father has invested his life time's hard earned money in the company on some fake promises of broker and today he is hopeless. He invested this amount for the marriage of his daughter.
When SEBI has already ordered for refund, can company still choose to stay silent on the matter. Do we have to file complaint again in SEBI. Is there any established procedure to deal such matters. Was this information helpful? |
