[Resolved]  Bata India — Shoe colour changed after applying shoe polish

Dear Concerned, This is with reference to hush puppies casual shoe (half leather & half suede) which i bought in the month of September 2014 from Mumbai, Thane. Since I was buying a new shoe I asked sales person to also give me a shoe polish. I used the shoe polish but to my surprise the shoe I bought and the shoe i saw after applying shoe polish were poles apart, Apparently the polish had spoiled the entire shoe and the whole purpose to buy shoe was lost and so was the shoe style. I had spent a lot of time and energy to zero down on this particular shoe. In fact a great friend of mine who is a regular customer of Hush Puppies took me to your store. I was impressed by your collection and the edge you have in your design, however now i have a shoe which I cant use. I went to the same store and explained to the particular sales person who had sold me the shoe. I was perplexed and alarmed by the way he handled the matter and confronted me that it was my fault that I had used the polish the wrong way and he had given me instructions. I thought earlier that may be he is right, but then i discussed with my friend who introduced me to Hush Puppies about the instruction he gave to us for applying shoe polish, he categorically said there were no instructions given to us. I did try to discuss the same with the store, however the time passed by and there was no concrete solution, I have also shifted to Bangalore in the meantime and it also makes it difficult to come to thane and sort the issue and this has been going on for long. I have faced this ordeal for too long and I don't have any patience left, the shoe is still at the store itself. The objective is I don't want to get into the mud slugging fest/ he said she said kind of discussion, I have already tried to explain to the store, they must have their own limitations, all I want is replacement of the shoe, i have already spent time, money and energy since September and have not been able to actually use the shoe which i liked at the first place. I know its a human error from the sales person side, in fact it could have happened with any of the sales guy with so many footfalls in the store and he missed out. I don't want to make it a case wherein he is taken to task, I am not that kind of person. I have been told about Hush Puppies at great length by my friend and I appreciate it and that was the only reason to buy your product. As mentioned earlier i look forward for the replacement.
