I am a consumer of BPCL & have booked for a new refill at M/s Sandhya Gas Service (Consumer No. 12519), Tvm on 7.2.15 as per booking No. 398047. While delivering the cylinder on 22.2.15, the delivery boy asked me to pay Rs.628/-(towards to cost of new refill) + Rs. 40/-(towards delivery charges). My house is situated just
150 mtrs from the delivery point. Usually they demand Rs. 25/- and from last month onwards I am paying Rs. 40/-.
I asked the delivery boy that I am ready to pay Rs. 25/- and he is very adamant for Rs. 40/- and if not given, he will take the cylinder back & I have to take the same from the Go-down directly. As such he had quarreled and taken back the cylinder leaving the empty and asked me to collect the cylinder from the Go-down leaving the bill to me. How a delivery boy was asked me to take cylinder from the Go-down when he is meant for it. Such Gundaism
exists in the delivery system of gas cylinder. I am consumer of the above said agency since1999.
I have contacted the Agency & reported the matter. I have got the reply that this is the amount all are paying as delivery charges. When I asked them why you have written in the office and printed in the bill not to give tips for delivery, there is no answer. I further informed them that I will report the matter to the H.O.
I am the president of our Residents' Association and discussed the matter among our members and they are also facing the same difficulty. But some members have connection at M/s Ananthapuri Gas Service (IOC) and they are charging only Rs. 20/- as delivery charges.
Finally, I just want to know how much is the rate prescribed by the BPCL to get the cylinder at my home, even if it is Rs. 100/- I am ready to pay. Was this information helpful? |
