[Resolved] BookMyShow — Cancellation or postponement of the booked show

I have booked 9 tickets for 2300 odd rupees and unfortunately on the wrong date due to technical glitch of the Mobile APP and the end result is booked on the wrong date. I called Book MY show regarding this and asked them to postpone my tickets to the next date, but the reply from them is no. I ask when u can change booking for flights, buses from third party vendors are able to alter the changes why not movie ticket vendors doing the same. I don not feel that much if somebody steals my wallet unknowingly than this kind of robbery where u clearly witness. Please make a strict amendment so that these kind of fraud does not take place in future. Thank you Anil

BookMyShow Customer Care's response Hi Anil, We do understand your view on this situation. When you book a ticket on our website/app, there are three stages where you confirm your booking on the order summary page. Once you proceed to payment and the booking is confirmed, the seats are blocked at the cinema's end. We being ticket aggregates have to abide by the rules laid by the cinemas and hence cannot exchange, refund, cancel or make any manual modifications on a confirmed booking as cinemas do not have a cancellation policy. Alternatively, those tickets can be gifted/authorized to your family/ friends and you could bring a smile on their face. We have mentioned this very clearly on the app and website that tickets once booked cannot be cancelled/exchanged or refunded. Hope you understand us Anil.
