I booked 2 tickets for a movie named Viduthalai-part 1, in PVR Cinemas @ VR Mall Chennai, via the online portal where I selected the movie picked seats, double-checked the same and paid Rs 491.36.
When the purchase got completed the tickets I received is for the movie name 'Pope's Exosrcist' which I did not select / book for.
I immediately called the customer care consultant, Ms Muskan, who was very unhelpful in looking into this issue, She was not sure why this happened, and when requested I am happy to change the booking to the movie 'Viduthalai' and happy to pay any difference in fair, I was told that there is no provision for this. She was not sure how this happened and when I kindly requested that she can look into this issue and get back to me, it was bluntly rejected with only a sorry. When asked to raise a complaint to look into what happened with the booking and to provide me with a reference number, I was told that a complaint will be raised and I will receive an interaction ticket number via email -which is 14395512, which my knowledge is not a complaint number. I had to request her not to interrupt while talking as I was not able to put my thoughts through. As she was very unhelpful I requested whether she can transfer me to a senior customer service consultant or her manager who could at least understand and hear what my issue is, she bluntly rejected stating that there is no one else I can talk to and asked me to write an email to either the help desk or support team which I understand are not their customer complaints email id.
I then had to find escalation and nodal officer emails online and write a detailed email, for which the response was going around in circles without addressing 3 complaints raised. I was told that I will receive a call at a specified time rather than a random call, which I never received. I had to even follow that up to receive a call. I was also told that the back office have checked and confined that the booking was for a different movie !! with no further communications about other complaints raised.
I am not sure why a customer who uses your platform for a transparent booking process is not transparent has to go through this unhelpful customer service with no backend support.
I had to cancel my ticket immediately with a loss of 50% of the money paid. Was this information helpful? |
