[Resolved] Cafe Coffee Day — Complaint against Misleading Advertisement & Promotion | Ahmedabad

I heard CCD's advertisement on Radio Mirchi and went to CCD in Ahmedabad. They’ve currently a promotion “CCD Weather Discount”, in which CCD is promoting to give discount equal to temperature of the day, on range of their summer beverages. As per the requisite of the advertisement: 1. I went to CCD at 1645 hrs (the bill was raised at 1710 hrs) – Anytime of the day is justified 2. I went on Tuesday, 12 May 2015 – between Monday to Friday is justified 3. I ordered Mango Peach SM & Rasmalai Smoothie (part of CCD's summer beverages) – Range of summer beverages is justified When I asked the CCD official on the counter about my discount on the summer beverages, he informed that there is no such promotion he is aware of. I’m attaching receipt of the bill. I also have recording of CCD advertisement at Radio Mirchi. I need a written explanation from CCD on why I was not given a discount as per the promotion on Radio Mirchi. Cafe Coffee Day Customer Care's response Dear Sir, Thanks for writing about your experience at Café Coffee Day. There was no all-day discount on the range of Summer beverages on the date that you had visited and posted the bill for (12th May 2015). The Weather Check discount advertisement you have heard on the Radio on Radio Mirchi has been played only from 13th May onwards. Prior to the 13th of May, the radio advertisement was about the time-bound discount offer from 12 noon to 2 pm. The all-day Weather Check discount can be availed today and next week from Monday-Friday (for the whole day). We urge you to go and try the other beverages and avail the discount at any café in your city. Do write to us at [protected]@cafecoffeeday.com if you have any other query or issue.
