Cams — Spam profile created at cams rep - insurance repository and services | |||||
Hi, On 23-Dec 2015, I got email (at my email id [protected]@gmail.com) that an insurance profile has been created for me on "CAMS Rep - Insurance Repository and Services" (https://www.camsrepository.com/). The sender email id was [protected]@camsrepository.com. The e Insurance a/c no. is[protected]. However, I never approached this insurance company for an insurance, nor did they approach me before I received this email. To my utter surprise, they have all my personal details, including my PAN number. Over the last 1 week, I have already tried contacting them on the toll-free number[protected] multiple times, and have agreed for the option of call-back for every time I called, but all your executives were supposedly busy all the time, and never got any call back from them till now. On 24-Dec 2015, I have also sent an email to [protected]@camsrepository.com (the mail id mentioned for customer complaints on CAMS website and included in the email sent to me on 23-Dec 2015) regarding the same, asking for an explanation. However, I have not yet received any response. I have also registered a complaint on their website (complaint reference number is 139205) on 24-Dec 2015. But there has been no updates. I would like to understand why/how did CAMS get my sensitive and personal details, and why/how did they open an insurance account on my name without ever consulting with me.
