[Resolved]  CESC (Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation) — Monthly Electricity Bill

My Consumer number is [protected] In May 2014 electric bill I find the total unit is 547 and correspondingly Gross amount payable is Rs.4450/-. Though I paid the bill, this amount is much higher than my average monthly consumption. I, therefore, feel something went wrong in my monthly bill. It could be that the person who came to note my meter reading made a mistake or Electric meter is not functioning properly. I therefore request you to take note of my complaint and do the needful. For your perusal I am giving below units consumed in preceding months and units consumed during these preceding months in 2013, let me declare that during last one year I have not added any extra electrical appliances. May 2014 Total Unit 547 Gross amount Rs.4450/: May 2013 Total Unit 429 Gross amount Rs.3190/. April 2014 Total Unit 382 Gross amount Rs.2880/: April 2013 Total Unit 378 Gross amount Rs.2750/. March 2014 Total Unit 187 Gross amount Rs.1170/: March 2013 Total Unit 185 Gross amount Rs.1120/. Total unit in March, April 2014 and 2013 almost same whereas in May 2014 Total unit is 547 as against 429 in May 2013. Hence I feel something is wrong. Please check and rectify.
