Please find below the mail which I have sent to the Principal Officer of City Union Bank.
I would like to express my views regarding the behaviour of a clerical staff in Rajendra Prasad Road Hasthinapuram branch. Today morning I went to the bank to get my passbook updated. I handed over the pass book to a clerical staff (Ms.Divya) who in turn gave it to another staff (Ms.Jeevitha). I waited there to receive the passbook. Normally I use either net banking or mobile banking. The purpose of today's visit was because the pass book was over and I wanted a continuation passbook. The staff (Ms.Jeevitha) made the address and the other entries in the new book. I saw the new passbook and understood that the transaction entries can be made after a few days. I didn't even talk to her. She started asking me in a rude way " do you need the balance to be updated in your new passbook". I didn't utter a single word and walked away from that place. After some time I saw her answering another customer in a raised voice and that was regarding FD. That customer was a senior citizen. I really wonder whether that staff (Ms.Jeevitha) has been taught how to answer the queries of a customer in a nice way. Today also the branch manager was not available. I feel the bank should conduct a coaching class regarding behaviour. She should realize that a customer is the most needed person. Can a bank or any business establishment grow without a customer.?
If you feel that I keep complaining about this branch then this mail can go into the recycle bin and later it can be deleted. I do not want to talk to the manager and complain like a kid about the behaviour. I feel you can definitely do something so that every customer is treated in a polite way.
