Cognizant Technology Solutions — Request For Reconsideration Of My Termination Decision

I trust this message finds you well. My name is Jagdale Pramila, and I am writing to you as an employee of Cognizant.

I recently received a termination letter citing concerns about the authenticity of my education documents, which has come as a surprise to me. Since the commencement of my employment on September 1, 2023, I have diligently cooperated with the Background Verification process, providing the requested documents in a timely manner.

During the initial stages of onboarding, I communicated to Ms. Devangshi, a representative from a consultancy, initiated contact with me regarding potential employment opportunities with Cognizant, who facilitated my recruitment, about the unavailability of my 6th-semester memo and provisional certificate, which were to be issued by Osmania University. In lieu of these documents, the background verification team requested that I submit an affidavit, and I promptly complied with their instructions.

After completing the background process and successfully onboarding, I devoted myself to the training period without any indication of issues. To my surprise, on January 5, 2024, I received a termination letter from HR Kour Prableen. Attempts to contact HR Podakandla Hirvani Sharanya, as my Team Lead provided her contact, proved unsuccessful, leaving me in a state of confusion.

Later on Monday 8th january 2024, Upon reaching out to Hirvani, she explained that the termination was based on the alleged non-response to an email sent on December 29, 2023, regarding background confirmation. I took immediate action, submitting the required documents on December 26, 2023. However, an email acknowledgement was not triggered, preventing me from officially confirming the document submission. The same thing i communicated with my Team Lead he said to send him a screenshot showing the documents has been uploaded. I did send the screenshot to my team lead.

Subsequent efforts to contact both HR Hirvani and HR Kour Prableen were futile, and I only became aware of the termination on January 5, 2024. Furthermore, the reason given for the termination, stating that my college management did not provide a positive response to Cognizant's confirmation request, is contradicted by my direct communication with the college authorities, who have not received any such communication.

I understand the importance of a thorough background process and am committed to providing any necessary clarification or additional information to address the concerns raised. My journey to secure a position at Cognizant has been a significant personal achievement, and I am eager to resolve this matter promptly.

I kindly request your intervention in reconsidering the termination decision, as I believe there might be a misunderstanding or miscommunication in this matter. I am more than willing to cooperate fully with any further steps deemed necessary to clarify my educational credentials and demonstrate my commitment to Cognizant.

Attached herewith, you will find copies of all the relevant education documents, which were previously submitted during the onboarding process. These documents include my 10th, Intermediate, and degree certificates, as well as the affidavit provided in lieu of the 6th-semester memo and provisional certificate, as per the background team's guidance.

I kindly request Cognizant's support to please consider removing the remark that questions the authenticity of my hard-earned education. I fully understand and am willing to accept any other valid reason for the termination from the company.

I wanted to bring to your attention that despite sending multiple emails to HR, specifically to Ms. Kaur Parbleen, and Senior Manager Mr. Praveen Subramanyam, unfortunately, I have not received a response from them
