I have received a message in my mobile stating that i have recived a mail stating that i got to pay 686.00GBP to recive the price amount... if its a prize amount y dont they give the amount an deduct the tax from that i suspect this is a big fraud an would request to take futher action regarding this to stop Non sense... i have seen the caompany is a fraud one an a lot of complaints have been filed in the same issue...
i received a sms on 08th june at 03:25am from TA-UKDRAW09 stating my mobile number has won (500, 000GBP)in on going 2009 o2telecoms draw in UK. please let me know the reality and please confirm the message by replying to e-mail address. if it is true iwill give you my account details. you can also contact me to my mobile [protected]. do call me or reply to my mail at the earliest.
I also received similar type of mail and I reacted to their instructions foolishnessly. I deposited Rs.53, 000 in the same account number but they instead sending me the prize money asked to deposit the VAT amount Rs.3, 77, 000 @ 1% of total prize money. I fell prey to their scam due to my ignorance. Good luck that you have enquired to know about the scam and saved. God bless you.
I have received a similar type of message on my mobile on 16/07/09. I request the O2 authorities to take legal action against the people who are indulged in maligning the name of O2. Proper investigation can reveal the real identity of the persons involved in this global fraud.
I received a similar e-mail from sender: [protected]@googlemail.com
Hope that helps.
sir u have send the message that u have won one million great british pounds in 02 promo draws.but u r not answer for anything.so please tell full details about that.
Looks like that's one big scam goin out there. I have received a lot of telephone calls and messages from a person called Dr. David and Dr. Richard, asking me to provide them with all my credentials. When asked why, the bugger who's called me up did not have a valid reason. Dr. Richard or whoever this person when to the extent of telling me that he was waiting for me at the Delhi International Airport, and that I must pay him 20 grant to release and claim the so called 'consignment' worth 250, 000 pounds, which is absolute trash.
The most absurd part is the fact that these guys have no contact information of their own, making it difficult for us to reach them unless they call us up. Also, the official O2 telecommunications website has no registered email address, which is making things all the more irritating.
I'm all set to lodge an FIR against these guys, please do let everyone know about this and make them aware of these bogus and dangerous scams.
