[Resolved]  Delhi Jal Board — Acute Short Supply of Water at Vivek Vihar C Block House no. C290 to C316

Dear Sir,

We wish to bring to your notice the very tough situation, we the residents of House no. C-290 to C- 316 Vivek Vihar, Delhi 110095 have to experience due to acute shortage of water in our locality. There has been practically no or very little water supply for past one month in this rows of houses.The row of houses in front of this row, starting from C-317 to C -328 do not have any such problem. In fact they have been continuously getting regular supply of water.

Apparently, there is some issue with the pipe line which supplies water to our row of houses. We have learnt that this proble is due to faulty laying of water line between MCD Primary school and C-301 Vivek Vihar which had been laid from lower level to higher level. The residents can get relief if the line is relaid which is approximately 40 feet in length.

We, the affected residents, in the recent past have brought this issue to the concerend officers of Jal board, some of them who visited us and assured prompt action. However, we continue to suffer.Some relief was provided to us by providing water tanker for a day or two.
In the peak of summer it is daily struggle to arrange water from neighbours or other sources. We have been staying in this colony for last 30 years and have never experienced such hardship.

As citizen of this country, we do have right to have basic amenities made available to us. I am sure that you have mechanism in place to ensure that such grievances are addressed/ resolved in shortest possible of time.

We request you to please take note of our concern and help in resolution asap.
