Airtel is charging unnecessary for the video club service. I did even subcribe for this service. even spoken to airtel customer care they said they will deactivate the service, already charged twice. Now again getting messge that they will charge again. The deactivation link doesnt work.
last week Rs.60 wAs deducted from my account. I need refund of this amount. And pls deactivate the service.

Hi,

I'm Prateek from Kolkata.
The same Video Club subscription has been activated in my mobile no. as well [protected] (without my concern)

Airtel is therefore charging Rs.99/monthly and the funny thing is - the amount is getting deducted whenever the pre-paid balance is above than the required amount!
Last deduction was made on 13th August (Saturday)

I have contacted the customer care service and have spoken with the reps, but they are not willing to solve the issue.

This is a clear case of fraud with the unnecessary deduction of hard-earned money.
I therefore claim a refund or would leave the Airtel service and would rather opt for an MNP.

This is the worst thing any service provider can do!

I have experienced same fradualant activation for video club service. Upon reporting to airtel customer care they reponded. In such a way that I have activated by mistake by clicking some adds in.I have just opened the what's app.They replied in such a way that I am new to smart phone and hence I am reponsible for service activation so I should bear the cost for the service which is not used. This is how airtel money looting from customers.

    Dear friends,
    If you are a Airtel mobile user and wish to shift to other service provider through MNP, then beware of Airtel using following trick for stopping you from deserting Airtel =>
    When you send an SMS from your Airtel number to 1900 so as to receive your porting code thereby Airtel gets to know that this particular customer is planning to say Good bye to Airtel.
    When I applied for my porting code through SMS I recived a call from Airtel call centre asking me what is the reason of my proposed shift to other operator( docomo).
    When i told him that the reason is high tariff of airtel services he told me that as because i am their valued customer now airtel has one plan for me and the plan is that " all my local calls will be charged at 30 paise/min and all local airtel at 10 paise/min ", after telling this he asked me that will i be still shifting to other operator ?
    I said that if airtel would offer 30paise/min to me then i will not be shifting docomo, => now, the clever telecaller told me that to activate this service (30 paisa/min), i will have to send one sms to some number.
    ( i dont remember that number now), accordingly I send that SMS and I received a reply that thankue for cancelling you Porting Code request and thankue for continuing with Airtel.
    After that when I made a call to a local number I should have been charged at 30 paise/min (as communicated to me by their executive) but to my surprise no tariff change has took place and my calls are still charged at 1.2 paise/second i.e. 72 paise/min ( and not 30 paise/min).
    This way Airtel executive lied and got my earlier porting request cancelled.
    Therefore never trust Airtel people and what ever they promise they will never keep their promise.
    They are still charging SMS at stone age era rates of 1 Re/sms local and 1.5 Rs/sms national.
    When everyone is charging 1paisa/second and infact some are charging 1 paisa/2 seconds, it is Airtel which is charging 1.2 paisa/second.
    Airtel has no interest in indian market and they have their focus on newly acquired African market.
    Therefore it has lost innovative pricing as compared to other operators.

    Dear Mr. Rakesh Kumar, stop posting auto generated messages and thereby fooling customers.
    This type of system generated answers will not do any good.
    Had you really felt about customer's concer, until now my number would have activated with 30 paise/min.

      Airtel rejecting my MNP application
      I am using airtel no [protected] (Kerala) for the last 5 yrs . And i want to change my mobile operator Through mobile number portability from airtel to IDEA.
      And i went to IDEA show room and i submit my id proof and porting charges.

      But i receive a message from IDEA that Airtel mobile operator reject your porting . Because of Contractual obligition. Actually in my case there is no contactual obligation with Airtel because mine was an individual normal postpaid connection. they are simply delaying my complaint saying somany lies. Actually MNP is a customer right. but here airtel is denying that right for me.

      I am planning to file a complaint in consumer court for compensation.

      I contacted my airtel customer care about this issue no one has respondig . Please. Help me sir

      I have requested Airtel for portin to DCOMO. They rejected my request saying that less than 90 days in the present network. But I got airtel connection on 8-jul-2008. It almost more than 2.5 years.

      i called up airtel customer care. none of them responded properly.

      i am planning to log a complaint in the consumer court to recover my expenses.

      I too applied and Airtel rejected it saying CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATION. Who needs the number, I am going to throw it away and buy a new connection from other operator.
      I'm also facing the same issue from Airtel. They have rejected my MNP appliaction 3 times giving invalid reasons. They are very arrogant when I cal their customer number don't give any reason for the same. How can I register complaint with the TRAI on airtel. I'm fedup with Airtel. They are big cheaters.

      Airtel has rejected my port-out request too for 'Legal Reasons'. Please read my following post for the details of this 'Legal Reasons' :

      The entire first and second pages (20 results flat) are entirely filled with Airtel's MNP rejection cases.

      This tells you why and how Airtel showed an impressive result of least customers moving out in the first release of MNP statistics, thereby showing a flamboyant face to other people/customers/media.

      BSNL which is the most transparent service provider in the market topped the list with maximum customer churn-out because they were not as 'brainy' as others (to deny or delay port-out requests) and probably would have agreed to all port-out requests (without harassing the customer) that they received.

      Going by the statistics, people/customers/media think that the majority of Airtel customers are so happy and hence do not wish to leave Airtel.

      Great management technique by Airtel...

      It is hightime that TRAI or the Government of India did something against this company that care least about their customers.

      Airtel — Rejection of Number Portability Request

      Dear Sir,

      I wanted to change my network operator from Airtel to Idea and had submitted necessary documents with the Idea Customer Care. But today, after the expiry of 7 days from the date of submission, i have received a message stating that my request has been rejected by Airtel since my number have been connected for less than 90 days. But infact, I am using this number for the past 3 years. I had gone to a nearby Customer Care centre of Airtel and confirmed this. But i am not getting any positive responses from them to resolve the issue. Please do the needed. My mobile no. which has been opted number portability is [protected].

      hi i requested for change of network from idea to tata docomo. but idea has rejected my request without giving any proper information. please try to help in sorting this issue.
      AIRTEL REJECTING MNP

      Airtel is not allowing its customers to switch to other operators of the fear of loosing its customers. i have applied for mnp on 30.1.2011, i got the new sim of reliance
      and also i submitted my documents, after that i got the call from customer care about the reason for changing the operator to reliance, i said that its because airtel is costly as well as
      3g has not yet come in chandigarh after that he said that they will reduce the call rates as well as sms for me . i rejected that offer and said that i will switch to reliance after that
      its been 15 days that they have not done any mnp and i called around 50 times to customer care where i got the following response from them
      1. WHY DO YOU WANT TO SWITCH TO RELIANCE?
      2. YOU SAID YOU DONT WANT TO GO FOR MNP TO OUR CUSTOMER CARE WHO CALLLED YOU
      after that he set a "BAD HELLO TUNE " AND REDUCED MY BALANCE TO -3.34 RS SO THAT I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO CALL THEM and DEDUCTED 45 RS
      what a customer care are they providing, is this a the care of deducting balance and setting bad hello tune is a service which airtel is providing to its customers

Since then i tried to call 121/198 more than 100 times from different numbers but always 'congestion on this route'!! Now i've again sent to 1900 to get upc code but get 'error' reply! I need urgent help! I can't bear and afford the looter airtel anymore. I'll make my minimum 50 friends to leave airtel. I PROMISE!

      Airtel is using cheap techniques to hold the customers back.
      They are not releasing the UPC and only on follow ups they do it.
      They too rejected my MNP request at first.
      Having associated with airtel for last 4 years, I used to give business of 3500 INR on an average to airtel.

      Their executives called me frequently, asking and requesting me to stay back.
      They were requesting many times with long discussions.

      The serives charges were so high and they never had good practices to keep the customer happy.
      Now they are trying all these cheap techniques.

      This has happend to my mobile no also airtel preaid no. 9987****** (clarification can be sought from my alterate no. [protected]). I submitted MNP request on 17/2/2011 - same day by evening I got a call from Pune (I came to know they are RETENTION TEAM) AND SAID THERE IS SOME TECHNICAL ISSUE IS ON, so they are unable to port out to Idea. They repeated the call on 19/2/2011 and said the same thing and on 24/2/2011 I got a sms reply stating my porting request has been rejected due to contractual obligation. I went to their Chakala, Andheri Gallery and met their Manager. Mumtaz and raised the above issue, unfortunately at the end I could not port out to IDEA due to this dirty trick played by the so called retention team. I am not going to leave the matter, I will be taking up this issue with Trai, also I am definitely going to port out from AIRTEL

      I have applied for Mobile Number Portabitlity of My MTNL Trump Mumbai (GSM) pre paid No.[protected]. i obtained UPC code and applied to the new service provider Videocon with relevant documents. However, they have informed me that my current service provider MTNL has rejected my porting request under reason 12003, which nobody knows what it is. There after i visited to mtnl customer care office as well as spoke to mnp section and they due to some technical reason my request is rejected asked me to apply again. Again applied however, to utter shock now mtnl has rejected on the ground existing contractual obligation. The service of MTNL is very bad and they are not allowing me change my service. They are harrassing common man like this. i dont know when i will be in a position to change my service provider?????????????

      My self Vikas Mittal (Airtel [protected]), 5 yrs old no, But Airtel is rejecting my MNP request also.
      At last after 1 and half month of struggle, Now I ported out from airtel and Port in to Vodafone .Thanks for letting me to port out now.
      Airtel is absolute FRAUD company. Their billing is erratic. They have not enterred customer details correctly (at least mine and several others that I know) even after repeatedly producing documents (i gave my documents 4 times!). They rejected my porting request sayint Upc mismatch. When I called customer service, I was cut off abruptly and left hanging repeatedly on a dead call. After that my number was blocked from 198. I had to call from another number to get the customer service. After threatening with consumer notice and complaint to TRAI, i was promised response in 24 hrs by TL Karthik. Then i get sms and email response that i will be contacted within 3 days. It is 1 week over. Today I sent reminder. Tomorrow I will forward the complaint to TRAI.

      Stay away from Airtel. They are cheats.

      airtel has rejected my request citing some legal obligations. i have called 198, 999 and even met airtel personnel at customer care point karve road pune. All gave me different reasons but no one was sure.
      Can airtel please explain the LEGAL OBLIGATIONS. Airtel has to stop fooling around with customers as we dont have time to waste on them.

      Airtel — REJECTION OF MNP REQUEST

      sir,

      i have applied for MNP from airtel (prepaid) to vodafone dated on 28 april. as per the rules i have submitted all the required documents to the dealer. after that i got the message from vodafone that my porting request AW881884 has been rejected by the current operator(airtel) due to subsisting contractual obligation from the subscriber agreement. after that i called the customer care of airtel to know the reasons where they told me to contact the airtel relationship center for the problem. when i contact them they again told me to contact the customer care. till now i havn't get my reason for the rejection of request. plus they are not assisting me to get out from the problem that i am facing from last 3 weeks.My complaint no is CMIL[protected].
      please look in the matter and kindly assist me.

      Sub. : Request for cancelling your service(AIRTEL) and transfer it to BSNL – Reg.

      Out of sheer necessity I am driven to write the following lines for your kind consideration and favourable orders. To begin with on 24.04.2010. I had made a request to you, to retain missed call alert and caller tune and cancelled the other services.
      I had recharged my phone on 11.05.2011 to the tune of Rs.121/- (T.D.[protected] but quite alarmingly Rs.100/- was cut from my credit on 12.05.2011. This is quite contradictory to my request.
      On 14.05.2011 at 10.20a.m. I received UPI – AT728464 favouring me to avail service from BSNL. The expiry of which was 29.05.2011.
      On 14.05.2011 at 12.58p.m. BSNL had sent me the intimation that my request had been forwarded to AIRTEL for approval.
      On 15.05.2011 at 1.21a.m. BSNL informed me that it was eagerly waiting for instructions from AIRTEL.
      On 14.05.2011 at 8.51p.m. your concern informed me that my request for transfer of service was rejected.
      Again on 16.05.2011 at 10.00p.m. I contacted customer care from whom I was informed that no such request for such transfer was made by me. I was informed that I had complained that only my SIM Card was lost.
      Your team leader was informed about my request for transfer, at the same time he was informed that I had accepted that the special offer given to me and that I accepted the special offer given by them (AIRTEL) and decided not to change the services. This is nothing but a fake statement which never happened. On the same date the team leader however accepted my real statement and requested me to re-process the transfer of my service from AIRTEL to BSNL. The following are the numbers pertaining to my request and team leader request (Complaint No.[protected], Ref.No.CMNRA[protected] & CMNRA[protected])
      On 18.05.2011 at 5.22p.m. I made a request to BSNL to process my request at 5.48p.m. on the same date they informed me that my request had been forwarded to AIRTEL for approval.
      On 22.05.2011 at 3.30p.m. (Complaint No.CU[protected]) your supervisor informed me that, my request for transfer was once again rejected due to official offer given to me, which I don’t like to enjoy.
      Finally I request you to accept my wish to cancel your service and transfer it to BSNL. . Your indifference towards the customer has resulted in mental torture and agony.
      Airtel rejecting my MNP application

      But i receive a message from BSNL that Airtel mobile operator reject your porting .. they are simply delaying my complaint saying somany lies. Actually MNP is a customer right. but here airtel is denying that right for me.

      Since from MNP Commencement I am Tryng for MNP from airtel to Any other Network providers. But Airtel rejecting my Application.recently on 27/05/2011 my porting request AX915287 has been rejected by my service provider(Airtel) as i got the message from Vodafone that "Hello ! Your porting request AX915287 Dated 27May2011 has been rejected by your Current operator due to There are subsisting contractual obligations from subscriber agreement" is there any solution for this problem?Can TRAI solve such problems of innocent customers

      I m airtel prepaid customer from past 4years. Now I m willing to change my operator from airtel to docomo. I have been requested 4times for port out from airtel. But each time I m been rejected by some different reason each time. more than 30 times i have been complaint to 198 but they each time says me to apply again this time sure you will be port outed. But again and again Im been fooled after applying again for MNP by rejected.. Please help me to recover this problem..       Airtel — AIRTEL's OBSTINACY in Rejecting MNP Request

      I have been a Airtel subscriber for almost 8 yrs in Delhi circle, and fulfill all the conditions of MNP. Yet, Airtel rejected my porting-out request recently citing "contractual obligations violation" which was just an excuse to harass me and bully me into retaining my account. I m a prepaid subscriber and there are no bonds/agreement with this account, yet the operator found ingenious ways to reject my MNP request on frivolous grounds. If I am not allowed to port-out from Airtel in my next MNP request, I shall close my account with them, regardless of the hardships/inconvenience it will cause me. Airtel knowing fully well of this situation, is exploiting me and harass them by rejecting their MNP requests . TRAI should look into in consumers' interest. It is no point having a law/policy without having it implemented in letter and spirit in reality.
      You could have found my details using porting id, this was just an excuse to further delay the process of resolving the issue, nywayz it is [protected]

      Sir,
      I am Syed Ibrahim. I am using Airtel number [protected](tamil nadu) for last 5 years.And i want to change my mobile operator Through mobile number portability from airtel to other mobile opreator. But i couldn't get any response from airtel. I am not satisfied with their services because they collect high charges when compared with other mobile operators charges very less. They also collect charges when i call to customer care office regarding any complaints. so i am very disappointed.

      Dear Sirs,
      Our L/L is 4378503 from Madurai on the name of A.Annapoorani.We made payment through chequeTMB501371 dt.06/07/2011 for Rs.736/-and it was cleared on 13.07.2011 in our account.14th July 2011 our L/L was disconnected due to non-payment of phone bill our L/L was disconnected.I was made complaint and they simply told due to system upgradation the proble will be made and your L/L problem will be solved at sooon. Again I have complained on 14 th onwards by complaint no.48859026 for non-working of our Phone.Again I made complaint on the same day for outgoing calls barred and that complaint no.is48860542 dt 14/07/2011.And again I have complained on 15/07/2011 though our complaint no48926738 and also again the complaint was made on 20/07/2011 to regularise our L/L .
      In this meantime we have submitted request letter with our bank statement copy on 18/07/2011 to release our bared outgoing line.and our L/L was regularied only on 26/07/2011.
      We have made request to weive the landline rent from 13/07/2011 to 26/07/2011.
      Once again we request you to weive the rent for the above period.

      Airtel is Rejecting my Porting Request 2 times
      Airtel rejecting my MNP application
      I am using airtel no [protected] (Mumbai) for the last 27 Jul 2011 . And i want to change my mobile operator Through mobile number portability from airtel to VODAFONE.
      And i went to VODAFONE gellery and i submit my id proof and porting charges.

      But i receive a message from VODAFONE that Airtel mobile operator reject your porting . Because of Contractual obligition. Actually in my case there is no contactual obligation with Airtel because mine was an individual normal PREPAID connection. they are simply delaying my complaint saying so many lies. Actually MNP is a customer right. but here airtel is denying that right for me.

      I am planning to file a complaint in consumer court for compensation.

      Airtel Prepaid — MNP Request Rejected Thrice

      I Had made a complaint for Mobile Number Portability From Airtel to Vodaphone But it was rejected thrice without any reason please note my complaint and take action as earliest i am fedup of poor network
      I had given an application to port from VODAFONE to MTNL. I have been using this vodaofne number : [protected] from past 4 years. In July I converted to Postpaid from prepaid. My UPC code is VM528438. Today I went to MTNL office and applied to port out from VODAFONE. Vodafone sends me” Your Porting Request VM528438 dated 10Oct11 has been rejected due the number have been connectedless than 90 day” (I have been using this number in prepaid for more than 4 years, recnetly only i moved to postpaid, .Can you please help

      I sent an SMS ' PORt[protected]' to 1900 on October 9 2011 at 6 pm for porting out this post paid number from Airtel.
      I got an SMS immediately, in reply, giving my Unique Porting ID: AD858356 with October 24 as the expiry date.
      I went to Vodafone customer Care in atta market Noida and produced before them my last, photograph, photo ID with proof of address, PAN Card, etc and they gave me a post paid Sim.
      In the night of October 13-14 I got an SMS from Vodafone" Hello, Your Porting Request AD858356 dated 13th October 2011 has been rejected by your current operator due to there are subsisting contractual obligation from the subscriber. Ps contact your current operator for further details. "
      I called Airtel at 9 am and asked them to tell me the " subsisting contractual obligation " due to which Airtel rejected my Porting request. Mr Sachin, the customer care executive told me that they had not rejected the request, and there was no such "subsisting contractual obligation". He also said that I could speak to his supervisor. He connected me to the Supervisor, Ms Shama. Ms Shama also said the same. I told her that Vodfone would not have sent me the SMS mentioned above if Airtel had not communicated the rejection to Vodafone. Ultimately Ms Shama agreed to sent a revised communication to Vodafone agreeing to my Porting request. The reference No. she gave to me about this conversation with me is:[protected]. By this time it was 9.15 am on October 14, 2011.

      At 6 pm I went to Vodafone's Customer Care Centre at Atta Market Noida and spoke to Himanshu, the executive. He confirmed that Airtel had communicated to them the rejection of my porting request due to " subsisting contractual obligation ". My last bill isRs -993 and paise 64. Airtel has my security deposit of Rs 1, 500. Thus Airtel has to refund to me about Rs 2000.       i just made a call to my friend and after disconnecting the call what i have seen that company had deducted 20 rs from account . I got the message that your caller tune service is started but i never told them to start all these bull .When i called the custumer care one of the person recive the call and told think to him .After that he told i cat refund your balance .Then i told ok no problem dont refund the balance but just transfer the call to
      your manager or supervisor, so what the answer i got from that gay the supervisor is on in office i will not transfer the call .After doing so many argument at last that gay has transfer the call .He transfer me to someone to the person whose name was lokesh chaudhary again i explain whole
      think to him .These gay is saying that after all conversatoin that you not get balance back and he is also not giving any satisfactory answer to me . After all these thinks i have also made the complane for think and that extra deduction of my balance of my call charges . My airtel to airtel call charges are 10 paise per minite and other mobile 60 paise per minite . On 14/10/2011 at evening at the time of near by 7 pm i call on my one of my friends number who is using airtel only and i have talk to her for 3.17 minites according to that company have to deduct 40 paise but they have deducted 90 paise, and after that i asked that according to what you have deducted these charges, then what did they answer we dont have any detail of your call charges what is going with my number and also gave me someone personal mobile number and told that talk to her in morning. why should will call any personly? .And these is not first time they had done several times all these thinks but because i am not getting time that why dont done the complane . so now i want answer for all these thinks .i hope that i will get the positive support from your side ...My contact no is [protected] you can reach me any time on these no and my email id is [protected]@gmail.com .Hope that you will also not going to demotivate me ...

      I think Airtel is trying to makes the people fool.

      they are making money by cheap techniques such as started hello tunes, mitti ke rag, cricket without any request

      I have 4 airtel nos. i have lost good amount of many by these techniques
      In this way Airtel will loose their valuable customer

          My Mobile No[protected] and it is a prepaid connection. On 29.01.2011 night balance was Rs 68/. On 30th Jan the balance was Rs 38/ only. They with out availing any value added service, they charged Rs 30/ from my balance. Why they are un necessarily charged my account?

          On more important thing, the same was taken up to customer care on 30th Jan by 6.41p.m. and the call was chargeable @ Rs0.50 for every three minutes but there is no officer in the chair to redress my grevence. But they switch on the recorded music and announcements and charge Rs0.50 for the un attended call.

          This is one way of looting the public money by the service provider.

          AirTel — Balance discrepancy

          Hello,
          This is Pradeep, on 26th of mar 2010 i received an sms saying abt recharge with 88 and u will get 77.88 and get 10.22 after 48 hrs and there was no due date written regarding when i should recharge the same. i did on 28th mar 2010. Firstly i received 77.78 so 10 paise less and then i waited for 48 hrs to get the remaining but it still hasn't been credited yet. i called customer care but they say that i cant avail this facility bcoz its not applicable for me. i said that i had received the msg from their side but they say that there was no such msg sent to my no. So they r blindly lying bcoz i still have the msg with me.
          Now what should we make out from this. Is my grievance going to be taken care off.

            We have taken airtel boadband plan of Rs.999 in last week of Nov. In first week of Dec our set top box of Airtel IPTV was not working . We lodged a complaint for the same against Complaint ID.41876512 . One of the engineers of airtel came to resolve the issue and replced the set top box to an old one and without giving us a chance to check the new one , he just left. This set top box is quite old and slow . Again a complaint was lodged against ID 41923718 and committed to be resolved in the same day before 8 o clock but remained unattended . Again at customer care no.121 we lodged a complaint on 12/01/2011 under complaint ID 41848220 which was aunattended till date . In connection to the same today on 30/01/11 at 10a.m again we lodged a complaint at ccno. 121 which was attended by Ms Satya Priya one of the employee of airtel . She assured that the complaint will be resolved before 2 p.m. At around 2 p.m. we got a call from airtel on the landline by Mr. Mukesh that whether we have lodged a complaint and what is the complaint . He told that this call is to resolve the complaint .

            Sir, we have taken broad band plan in nov 2010 and under this plan the set top box supplied to us was working very fast and the replaced one is very very slow . Plis let us know that asking for the problem over phone is the resolution of the complaint . We are paying airtrl bills as per the contract in time but finding lack in your providing correct instrument for the service .

            Plis note that tommorow 31 jan is the due date payment of your bill . The bill will be paid well within time if the service will be provided as per the contract and the set top box will be replaced or the bill will not be paid . And in this connection I would request you to diconnect the broad band plan we have taken or provide us a satisfactory service .

            Airtel — Non Replacement of IPTV Set top Box

            My set top box is not working.
            An engineer from Airtel came to my house on 17th December and said that my set top box is not working.
            He assured me that it will be replaced within the next 24 hours. Since that day I have been calling up Airtel constantly but they have been giving me false deadlines and are not replacing my set top box.

              Hello Sir / Mad'm
              I got a SMS form airtel cust. care on 29th Of Jan '11 ,that I need to submit my documents once again
              for the reverification of the same. I find it bit piculiar why should a client needs to re-submit the docs. Its the responsibility of the company to take care of their clients records.
              They even mentioned in the msg that I need to submit the docs at my earliest else they are going to deactivate my out-going & in-coming service simultaniously.

              According to me they should send a verification call to the cust. instead of asking for the docs.I will be highly obliged if you guys can do something and help me sort out this problem.

              Hi,
              I have faced same problem. I have talked with Nodal officer regarding this. He has told me that TRAI has made complusary to submitt ths document.TRAI doing audit for same.
              But, One qusetion remains If TRAI is going for audit.There is some problem with one of document. (I.e. address proof & some idebtification missing),
              Airtel has to convey the same message to customer. But, Nobody is ready to convey the same message.
              If sombody submitt the electric bill & Pancard, this document will not change life long.Then there is no neccessity to submitt document again.

              Same thing has happened to my airtel connection...and airtel has deactivated my sim without even informing me. I am facing a lot of problem as I used to receive very important calls on this sim. As I am in Rajasthan and the sim is registered in Tamil Nadu, it will cost me a lot of money and time to go and submit the documents in Tamil Nadu. As they want me to submit my documents in TN not anywhere else in India.
              Seriously fed up with Airtel!!
              I lost all the faith and respect I had for Airtel. My phone is now totally DEAD! Ph. [protected]

                  Sir,

                  I would like to give a complaint regarding an Airtel tower in an area which in right in the middle of a residential colony and very near to a lower primary school.
                  The tower is located in Adarsh Enclave, Road No 4, Lakshmi Nagar, Saidabad, Hyderabad - 500059.
                  There is a primary school around 20m from the tower on the west side.
                  A park for children is on another side which is 10 metres away exactly opposite this apartment.
                  On the east side is a 5 storey apartment Sri RamaSai Residency, which also will be in the main beam and 30 metres away.
                  There are also many play schools for very small children in this residential locality.

                  Sri RamaSai Residency has 25 families staying in it. There are lots of small children in the apartment. The fourth and fifth floors are in the main beam.
                  Recently it has come in the newspapers that cell towers are not to be installed near schools, play grounds or in residential areas.

                  And having the tower so near is a very serious health hazard for all the residents and am seriously worried for the health of my family, the other families in my apartment and the school kids.

                  I request you to kindly shift the tower from the present location and move it far away from the residential area.

                  Am attaching the layout from google maps.

                  I am sure that Airtel will resolve this issue immediately with a high priority.

                  Airtel — Airtel Cell tower very near school, park and apartment

                  This complaint is regarding an AIRTEL cell tower very near to a school, childrens park and an apartment.
                  The tower is located in Adarsh Enclave, Road No 4, Lakshmi Nagar, Saidabad, Hyderabad - 500059 and has around 6 antennas.
                  The lower primary school and park are only about 20 metres away from the tower.
                  The apartment Ramasai Residency is in the main beam and is only about 30 metres away. There are lots of small children living in the apartment.
                  It is clear from studies that small children are under a lot of risk from the cell tower radiation.
                  I request the Airtel authorities to kindly shift the tower from the present location as it is a serious health hazard to all the people nearby, especially the small kids.

                        i have purchased a number [protected] from airtel vendor and it is on from that time. i have used and made calls now they have disconnected my number on 25 jan 2011 and now saying it is due to non use of number and i am saying that i was using this number. i am in maharastra now so due to high roaming charges i was not using it and even there is no facility to recharge it but it was on and i was attending calls and sms.
                        i have sent mails to nodal officer and also appealant officer and they have not given me satisfactory response. how can they disconnect my number without prior information. if we are taking a number we provide all information so they should also provide us these information that if i will not recharge it with specified amount in specified period then they should disconnect but i have not got any proper information about it.

                            They rejecting port requests with wrong reasons.

                              A few months ago i have given a resquest letter to Supreme Telecom erode to discontinue my mobile number as there were some fake billing summary.They accepted the letter and destroyed my sim themselves.But still i am getting bills for my mobile number.But the supreme telecom does'nt take any responsibility to follow the issue and close it.Even the tamilnadu nodal officer is not responding to the e mails regarding this.

                              Also airtel stealing money from my prepaid number saying that last sms charges and last call charges.This happens whenever my pre paid balace comes below Rs.20

                              i don't know how to handle these mobile mafia.

                                Dear Sir,

                                I was holding Airtel landline phone number[protected] with internet facility. For the last two months internet was working intermittently. Despite several requests and complaints, Airtel did not rectify the problem. Every time they tried to persuade us to continue with the service assuring that the complaint will be resolved.

                                Finally, fed up with Airtel’s false promises and poor response to resolve the problem, I decided to discontinue with the phone and internet facility. My complaints 41276262 dated[protected], 41504638 dated[protected] and 41627470 dated[protected] and e-mail to [protected]@airtel.in dated 10/01/2011 is reproduced at the end of this mail.

                                I received a bill of Rs1081/- to be paid for the month of December 2010. I received a call from a supposedly Airtel executive to pay the bill before disconnection. On enquiry about the security deposited by me the executive informed that I had given a cash security deposit of Rs500/- After much haggling the executive agreed to adjust the amount of Rs500/- with the bill amount.

                                On checking my documents I found a security deposit receipt of Rs850/- also.

                                On 24 Jan 2011 I received several calls from[protected]. A girl was on line, who refused to disclose her identity insisted upon me to deposit the full amount of Rs1081/- to settle the bill. She verbally assured that Rs1350 (500+850) would be refunded within 24 hours of deposit of Rs1081/- I requested her to send an e-mail assuring the refund within 24 hours. She refused to send the confirmatory mail and threatened that if I do not pay up Rs1081/- in cash then Airtel will continue billing me and I will have to pay much more.

                                As such I have lost faith in Airtel services and can not rely on just a phone call saying that my deposit will be refunded. I am also not sure if the phone call is from bonafide Airtel office or from someone else.

                                Subsequently, the phone instrument and the modem were collected by an Airtel executive on[protected].

                                I request your good self to intervene in the matter for the following:

                                • Arrange to get my refund
                                • Arrange to get a formal letter of disconnection from Airtel
                                • Protect users from threats by Airtel
                                • Penalize Airtel for the not providing satisfactory services but charging the users
                                • Accept discontinuation request from users without any hassles
                                • Provision to discontinue service by simply sending an IVR code from Landline number
                                • Immediate refund of security money after adjustment of bill amount
                                • Penal action in case o[censored]se of threatening language by Airtel
                                • Method of identification to ensure that the call is being originated from bonafide office and member of Aitel

                                  having 3 connection from airtel and facing several issues with service and because of it i taken decision to convert postpaid connection to prepaid connection. i written email to airtel and they said me that u need to visit customer care again pathetic people, said me that it's easy to convert postpaid to prepaid by filling one form and then within 3 hours it will converted. and i reconfirmed with them and left the place. same night my connection was deactivated and till next 2 days it was deactivated and when i again visit the center that guy given me bla bla reasons and next day it was activated. and now it was again deactivated and asking me my documents not reached with them and not verified. now tell me from last 3 years i have this connection with me and i was regular billing customer for airtel and this connection was not transfers to any one only converted from postpaid to prepaid and Airtel needs verification and re documentation for the same. why not this information passed me while conversion?

                                  Airtel is really doing and customer care is worst service. even they can not pass the right information to questioners. and ask to visit personally to customer care. if that is the case then close your tale customer service. as i suffering pathetic service from last 3 years and this is again a corporation connection,

                                    Hello there,

                                    I've bought Airtel Rs.251 internet pack on 05-Dec-2010 that provides 8GB allowance with a validity of 3 months. However the validity got expired on 16-Jan-2011. This was pack was bought for the mobile number +91 [protected].

                                    After having series of discussion with Airtel customer care for around 3 hours the problem was not resolved. So far I felt Airtel is the Number One for Customer Service in the Telecom sector in India. But this proved that even after so many promises (which proved to be false) from customer care agent no solution has been provided to me.

                                    Kindly take this complaint as means to probe in to the situation and take appropriate action against Airtel.

                                      I was using airtel landline number, internet connection and IPTV (Rs999 plan)before march 2009 in sector 15 noida. Phone number[protected]. In march 2009 end I made a request to shift my connection to a new address in sec-71 noida. I was informed that since airtel has no network in sector 71 noida so I can shift the number so I made a request for account closure. I was informed that I will receive a call for account settlement. But I didn't receive any call. I made atleast 3 followup on customer care number in April 2009 first week and each time I was informed that I will receive a call from them soon, which I never got. Then I received my bill for month of march and april(23 march to 22nd april 2009) which was around Rs. 600 which was less than the regular bill(999+taxes+ phone bill). I thoght that my account is closed and I have receive a bill on prorata basis for 23 march to 30 march 2009. And I maid the payment.

                                      In july 2009 I started getting call from airtel that I have a overdue of more than Rs. 2000. Several times I have explained the situation to people from airtel who make call to me. But I am still getting call and threat that I have to pay my bill or face the consequnce.

                                      Since it was airtel's inability to provide me connection on new address, they should refund me IPTV installation charges(Rs 3499+taxes). But I have not rceived any refund.

                                      Should I complain against airtel in consumer forum or some other authorities. Please advice.
