I purchased pair of floaters from Bata showroom at Ooty. One of the strap broke down the next day, since I was visiting Ooty and was originally from Bangalore I contacted the customer care to get the item replaced in Bangalore. After 20 days or so i got a mail saying i can visit a particular showroom in bangalore to replace the product. I visited the store but store manager refuses to replace saying he dont have any information from Bata to replace the item. And i need to contact customer care. I repeatedly called customer care and asked them to contact showroom manger and let him know about the case. But there was no response. I had called cutomer care around 10 to 11 times asking for the same, and explaining the whole scenario every single time. Each time they said we will do the needful and they have logged the details in the complain but every single time i had to describe all details and requesting them to contact the manager but all went in vain. I later stopped calling them, tired of all these times.
There is no way of escalating the issue, i asked number of times at the customer care desk if i can speak to any of their senior but every time they said there is no senior available at this moment. There is no furthur contact at the website apart from customer care number. Nobody notice the complain made on website, nobody reply the mails. Only was is to call them. I dont think i will ever buy anything from Bata now and wont advise anybody to do so. There are many other companies in the market to buy shoes. Cant say if their customer support is same as Bata.
