Bata — poor quality of shoes

Dear Sir,
i purchase a shoes 17-05-11 in panjim bata shop. i went there yesterday for complaint against the same shoes . the shoes soul broken and they not give any response . i need replacment or repair the shoes the shoe cost is 1399/-. My bill / tin no-[protected]

Dear Concerned,
I have received the below mail of yours as a solution to my complaint.
My complaint was that the Sole of the Bata shoe Model no :[protected] which I purchased on the evening of 31.01.2012.Within 2 months from the purchase of the shoes, the sole of both the shoes was badly damaged. The hill of the shoe has developed cracks on both the sides. The material on the inner side of the shoe sole is of a very inferior quality it has disintegrated & is discomforting the feet.The sole pasting of the shoe is on the verge of splitting. Overall the complete quality of the shoe is pathetic & needs a lot of improvement. When this was brought to the notice of your customer care executive he assured me of a satisfactory solution but after 2 days I get a solution to Buy another shoe at 75 % cost. This is highly unacceptable. I would have been happy even if you would have offered for a sole replacement. But I was asked to spend 75 % from my pocket for the second time for a product which is not at all upto the standards. It is highly disappointing for the Brand like Bata to offer such a downgraded product & service. I am highly unsatisfied & would wish this matter to be escalated to the Topmost officer concerned.
In any case I would not be going to the shop to buy another product of yours at the 25% discounted price. Please use the discount for someone needy. In case you wish to see the images of the damaged sole I can Email them in case you dont believe my words.
If such a degraded service is continued at your end the brand value will only degrade. Hope that you take the corrective measures in time.

As per the information provided by, you as a special case we would be extending to you a 75% replacement for the product being held by you. Please note the following with respect to the replacement.

1. If the same product (article number / model) and size is available at the store we will provide you with the same product at 75% of the cost.

2. If the same product (article/model) is not available in the store (due to non availability of same model, size, color, etc) you can avail the replacement (in this case also you will have to submit the damaged product to us) in value terms. It means that whatever value of the product was paid by you we will adjust 75% of the same value against your next purchase from the store.

3. Please note that there is no cash refund.

4. Damaged product has to be submitted to Bata for replacement – mandatory

5. THE ABOVE APPROVAL FOR 75% REPLACEMENT IS VALID TILL 30th April 2012.

We would request if you could visit Bata store at EMPIRE BUILDING 154, DR. D.N.ROAD , FORT MUMBAI - 400 001.and get in touch with the Store Manager. He has been told to offer you a 75% replacement (subject to availability) on your next purchase.

We would request you to please carry a printout of this mail along with your product when you next visit the store during weekdays before 30th April 2012.
