[Resolved]  Bangalore Traffic Violation — Beware o[censored]ncommitted traffic violation Notice at Majestic Railway Station

Dear Reader,

Please be aware of the trap of getting caught near the Majestic railway station outside the parking area and pay the bribe or get unlawful notices for hefty amount.

Outside the Majestic railway station parking area, there are no signs of exit for the vehicles. And you will always find a police man waiting/hiding eagerly to catch his victim. This is what is DEDICATION from traffic dept.

The lane is supposed to be ONE WAY with no signs. The person taking/managing the parking area also intentionally does not tell you that you are entering a wrong direction.

The distance is hardly 20-30 ft and you are trapped to pay a bribe. The policeman does not issue the ticket/notice inspite of request and tries his best to threaten you to settle the things in court. If you ask for notice, he will NOT give you. His clear intentions are to get money illegally.

I have been the victim of the same. I never wanted to pay the bribe. Even after requesting him for ticket, he did not give (as he was expecting that I will pay him something either due to frustration or fear or due to time constraints). I walked out and told him to send me lane violation ticket.

To my great surprise, you find that I was charged for 2 violations i.e. "ONE WAY/NO ENTRY" and "DRIVING DANGEROUSLY - NON TRANSPORT VEHICLES". The first one is for 100 Rs and the other one is for 400 Rs.

This is ridiculous and shows how honest people are cheated near Majestic railway station. The speed of car can not be more than 10-20 Km/hr at the railway station, but this is the price one has to pay for not paying the bribe.

I had paid the fine online as I do not want to get into the hassel of going to court or compaining it with the authrities of traffic dept. (Inspite of knowing that I was NOT wrong). I did not note the belt number of the person, but I guess it is of no use. There is very little one can do to prove that the notice that is sent is illegal or unintended. I am keeping my violation details and my identity anonymous as I know nothing is going to happen or change in the behavior of the traffic person/team sitting exactly outside Majestic railway station

However, in the interest of the wider people, I would request everyone to take extra care outside the Majestic railway station parking exit. Otherwise be ready to pay for fake/unintended/unlawful notices.
