I have been buying Bru Coffee for the nearly 6 yrs now, since my marriage, as wife is a regular drinker of Bru Coffee. Since, she consumes it on a daily basis, I always buys 200gms poly pack, as it was cost-effective. The poly pack was easily available in the market, until they started offering jars along with the 100gms and 200gms pack.
Quick comparison on the current prices of Bru Coffee 200gms pack: (https://verostore.com/catalog/beverages/coffee)
Bru Instant 200gm Poly Pack : Rs. 182/-
Bru Instant Coffee Jar 200gm : Rs. 200/-
Since, the Bru Instant Coffee Jar started 2 or 3 years back (if I'm not wrong), the poly pack have nearly disappeared from the market. I have hunted for the poly pack, in many shops
and departmental stores in Dwarka (New Delhi), but all in vain. Every time, when I queried the shop keepers about the poly pack, they would only say, we can only sell what is supplied to us.
Leaving me with no option, but to buy the 200gms pack with the JAR. I think the offer is aimed at :
a) burdening the consumer with drastically increased in cost overhead of Rs. 18/- of the JAR
b) forcing the consumers to pay more for something which I'm not in need of it (I already have a dozen of these jars)
c) increasing the revenue stream of the product, by not providing the consumers alternative
I would like to bring this to notice to the company authoritives in ensuring that
a) the supply of an reasonable alternative/option should be available to the consumers
b) and not force the consumers to pay for something which they don't need it.
