[Resolved]  BSNL — 3G Services unavailable- COMPLAINTS RESOLVED FOR 120 DAYS, HARASSMENT BY DIFFERENT OFFICERS N DIVISIONS OF BSNL

Since the last four months, I had been recharging my BSNL Prepaid mobile with 3G data voucher of Rs.120 which would give 250MB day & 1250MB night data usage allowance with a 30-day validity at every time of recharge. However, I could NEVER avail internet services due to the company's technical defects, throughout these FOUR MONTHS. I HAD COMPAINED AT BSNL CUSTOMER CARE ATLEAST 50 TIMES IN THESE 4 MONTHS about inaccessibility of data services ,and every time I was assured that the complaints would be resolved at the earliest. I had also submitted online complaints numerous times at their website's consumer complaints section. But ALL WAS USELESS. I had called up ALL of the customer grievance redressal officers of BSNL's Calcutta Telephones division after gathering their numbers from Calcutta Telephones' website. TO MY HORROR, MOST OF THE NUMBERS WERE EITHER INCORRECT OR UNRESPONSIVE OR DYSFUNCTIONAL. A few of the officers who took the trouble of picking up the phones, asked me to call at numbers which each of them mentioned to me and which were all different numbers. I followed their advices, but was again asked to call at some other numbers belonging to other departments & portfolios such as technical division, maintainence division, mobile broadband division, junior and senior network engineers and assistant engineers. I followed all their instructions and called at atleast 40 different numbers which they had mentioned but none of them even took my complaint, they all asked me to call elsewhere, at other numbers which each of them gave me & were all different!! BELIEVING IN THE CUSTOMER CARE'S REPETITIVE PROMISES THAT THE DEFECT WILL BE RECTIFIED SOON, I KEPT ON RECHARGING BEFORE THE EXPIRY DATE EVERYTIME AND THUS, THE DATA BALANCE GOT ADDED UP EVERY MONTH. IN AUGUST WHEN MY ACCOUNT HAD A DATA BALANCE OF 1000 MB of day usage & 5000 MB of night usage, BSNL suddenly withdrew all existing data recharges. This month, I had no option to recharge with any night data voucher, as the new vouchers have no such night data allowance provision. Thus, my 5000 MB night data balance expired inspite of recharging before expiry. Thus my four months of recharging with data vouchers went in vain, just because I couldn't use internet ever within the validity period of data vouchers, due to the ONLY REASON THAT BSNL COULD NEVER PROVIDE DATA SERVICES BUT CONSISTENTLY ASSURED THAT THE SERVICES WOULD BE AVAILABLE TO ME AT THE EARLIEST.
