HDFC bank cheated me.
I have applied for HDFC credit card in November 2011. Provided all the necessary documents and the bank registered my application [protected]O1) and after three months they have rejected the application. Reason for rejection of the application is "the residential address is out of city limits". I am residing in Sector-17A, Gurgaon. Is it out of city limits????

With the description NWD DEC CHG (ATM Withdrawal charges) eventhough my account was opened as salary account and was said there will be no sur charges for any no of withdrawals from any ATM other than HDFC. There were no intimation regarding the policy change if any also. This is very bad and unprofessionalism as a reputed worldwide bank shouldn't be doing this... And they have deducted 27.58 INR twice on a same date with two different...

To the respective,
I hold one credit card of axis bank & one add on card on the same. the add on card was for my father.
while traveling to Pune from pen by ST Bus at Lonaval stand there briefcase was stolen. The add on card was in that briefcase. The thieves take that card & use that in HDFC Lonaval ATM. but Lonaval branch said the Camera Footage is loss and not able to provide the proof of the same. we had a complain in Lonaval Police station. The whole incidence happen In 2009 Diwali. In resent days I come to know that we can recover any lost data from the system. so i m requesting you to please help me in that. the total lost money is over Rs.4 lacs as per 2009 valuation. which is not a small amount.
requesting to help us as we are not a rich people.

Sir, I have got calls from landline no.[protected] from HDFC bank Executive for Marketing of investment Product. while I stated no interest in Product he immediately cut off the line. when dialed on same no. she had no manners to talk. I expect strict action against such cheap executives who have no manners and ethics to talk. lesson must taught to such executives. Regards, Pankaj

I am a Doctor by profession who was cheated by HDFC life agents and HDFC bank employees. I happened to visit the HDFC bank in Rajahmundry, Andhrapradesh , to open an account with some fixed deposit. As a preferred customer they attracted me by telling about HDFC SL Crest policy for which i was interested and signed the documents where they asked me to do so. I got the policy documents by post and was shocked to see that they have invested in some other policy[ SAVINGS ASSURANCE PLAN] of their choice with out consulting me. I returned the documents to the bank with in free look period[ 15 days] and asked them to cancel it as i was not interested with that policy. whenever i follow up them by phone call the reply will be " it is processing sir", after waiting for almost 3 months i realised that the document was not sent by them or communicated to the head office about the wrong policy [ the benefits to the agent / bank employee might be higher with this wrong policy]. I met the bank officer in person and warned him to cancel the policy and i with drew all my fixed deposits and savings balance from the account. I lodged the complaint to the zonal HDFC life officer who visited in person and took a written complaint about it, who as expected also neglected and used to give deaf ear when i phone him. After waiting for almost 5 months the policy document was returned to me stating that the complaint lodged was after free look period and the policy can not be cancelled. I went in person and met the bank manager and explained what was happened till now and insisted that the policy has to cancelled, This is almost 7 th month iam waiting for the policy to be canceled,, Can any one suggest me the best approach for this matter..

My Name is Mahesh. And I do hold Credit card with HDFC Bank. Along with this I do hold Personal Loan, Salary Account, Life Insurance Plan with HDFC. Till now I haven't delayed any payment for any of the EMIs.

This complaint is in regards to the Credit Card payment which got delayed for just 1month. Rupa an employee at Begumpet HDFC Bank Credit Cards and Praveen - manager at Begumpet HDFC Bank are harrasing me for not paying the amount for just 1 month and they torturing me saying that they will send collections people to my home where my parents are there who are old. I am currently living in Bangalore.

Actually I wanted to clear the Outstanding amount in my Credit Card next month i.e., Feb 2012, which was informed Rupa and Praveen but still the Manager and Rupa an employee are talking aggressively and not giving the options of holding this for just 1month.

I was completely upset on the way they behaved with me and made me to decide to close all the accounts with HDFC Bank. I am going to close my Credit Card and also the Loan very soon and would like to switch out from HDFC Bank, just because of Rupa and Praveen at Begumpet branch, Hyderabad.

I know you will not relate this as a serious matter but for me its a big issue as i was working as an Contractual Executive with your bank & left Hdfc on 5th of Dec 2011 from the date of leaving to till date i am into the continous follow up with your cse- coex helpdesk team for my relieving letter which was sent to them on 2nd of dec and they are not reverting and they are not at all bothered to revert as i need to submitt this to.my existing organisation which matters me a lot and secondly i have not recd my full n final settlement yet.....

This is to inform that i have taken a personal loan from HDFC bank Loan no 14826869. in May 2009 and the EMI started from June 2009 for 300000 , 5years tenure monthly 7345/-. and i was making the payment promptly till November 2011. Since till then i was working and i was affordable to make the due. But now i am given birth to a girl baby and nobody is there to take care of her, so my option was to leave the job. so from December 2011 i was not able to make my payment because of financial crisis. Within these 2 months the bank persons started torchering me and they dint give respect as a woman, they where not ready to understand my problems. So kindly help me to sort out this problem I need minimum 5 months time by which i can leave my baby in some care taker . and i will join a JOB . Once i join i ll make my payments promptly. And i request till then no one should call and touchier me.

Dear Sir,

I am having a credit card ending with number xxxx xxxx xxxx 8022 valid upto 2013 and the credit card statement forwarded to me for the current month didn't have any transaction details. Unfortunately during this month my son, who is also the add on card holder, used the card to write his exams for which their company will reimburse the amount on production of the statement as proof if produced before 26.01.2012. Since the current statement is not having any details, we have contacted the customer care call center for the past 5 days without any response. We get a standard answer of 24 hours or 48 hours time limit to forward the statement with all particulars. Even today (24.01.2012) , when I contacted the customer care call center, the lady handling the case assured me that it will be forwarded to me 48 years after 26.01.2012. I have also took up the matter with their customer care department by mail. But so far nothing has happened and they are also not allowing me to contact their superiors to discuss the matter.

The attitude of the people at the call center and at the customer care department is very irritating. Because of their mistake or inefficiency, we may have to incur a loss of Rs.35,000/-.If the people sitting at the higher position are so nervous or not interested to address the problem, then it is high time that the bank should either remove those people from that place or close their customer care department.

I want to put this on record, so that people must know the real face of the organisation in spite of their mind catching advertisements.

I am late paying current installment for the month of January, which is 6th of every month, i have confirmed customer service representative that i will make the online transfer on Saturday evening i.e, 21/01/2012 even though since today morning, hell amount of frequent calls ringing continuously and caller unnecessarily pulling me. And i am unable to focus my work.

I just want to know, if we pay late fine of INR 750.00 for late payment, why this mental harassment????????? AND also i want to know what is the last date of paying our installment with LATE FINE.....

I have purchased a two wheeler HONDA AVIATOR and taken a loan from HDFC (Loan A/C No.[protected].
I have been paying the installments regularly through ecs and due to the human loss in the family, i was not able to pay for the month of January. I had received calls from HDFC regarding the payment and i have requested them
that the payment will be made next month. Today an agent by name Ms. Avanthi spoke very rudely and was
not ready to listen and then she handed over the phone to her Manager Mr. Janardhan. The said to be manager
is telling me with loud voice, as if he is speaking to a guy. BE HAPPY THAT WE HAVE NOT SENT A PERSON
TO YOUR HOUSE, wat does he mean by that, is he going to send goonda's to collect. Another manager Mr. Naveen
wants us to submit the death certificate in the nearest branch. Is this all needed for a month due, and after telling them
it will be paid in the first week of feb along with the regular payment. I want to end by saying "THEY DON'T KNOW
HOW TO SPEAK TO A GIRL, AND THEY WERE VERY RUDE and Threatening".

I was apply a home loan to HDFC BANK since 10/07/2011 months and
submitted all documents and processing fees amount of Rs 11030 as per
HDFC representative Mr. somnath ([protected]) and Mr. Niranjan at the
time of loan applied.

At the time of introduction Mr Niranjan told me to give the discount
on the processing fees but later they dont agree on that .

My all documents review by branch manager Mr. Niranjan ,Marathahali
branch,Bangalore and loan sanctioned 100% as per my requirement 18 L
.But after that they again asked me the loan transfer amount (AROUND
5500/-) as I had taken the appartment from the person who has the loan
in LIC.

I already ask them from the begining regarding this and got the mail
of all details where they didnot mentioned this amount and now they
stopped my processing.

After 8 months niether loan sanction as per my requirement and no
email with HDFC.

This period was very painful for me due to HDFC .
Please help me regarding this and let all the consumer to avoid this
kind of miss leading assurance fron HDFC.

I have an account with HDFC Bank - Okhla Branch and i requested for a cheque book online which i did not receive for quite some time. I again requested online and did not get it. Then i called up customer care and came to know that it has returned un-delivered due to some reason which is not mentioned in their system and they cannot take my request on phone and i need to visit the branch for cheque book request.

My concern is that it should have been the responsibility of bank to inform me through call, e-mail or any other means that my cheque book has returned un-delivered. Then one day i got a cal from a executive of different HDFC Branch explaining that he is my RM and i do not need to visit the branch and he will get this sorted out. But that RM also did not bother to call back and update me. When i did not get any response, i called up the RM and now he is telling me that i need to visit the bank for the cheque book request and he cannot do much about it. I lost several days due to all this crap of the bank. what is the use of having such processes which frustrate the client. Bank should have checked with the customer on non-delivery.

I am highly frustrated with the poor customer service of this bank.

My name is Haris Khwaja Mohammed I am working in Gurgaon.(Really shocked, surprised and depressed with HDFC)

I have a Home loan with HDFC LTD-Account[protected] for the amount of Rs 510000 from lucknow. Being an honest customer I have been paying my Emi on time for the last 3 years.
My interest rate was Initially 10.2% , slowly and gradually as the rates go higher HDFC increased my ROI to 11% to 13.5 % as of today. There was no intimation from the bank to me that the Interest Rates has been modified.
After three years , Somehow a source of mine told that the current ROI is 10.75% with HDFC and I am paying a very high ROI.
“IT SHOULD BE THE REPONSIBILITY OF THE BANK TO REVISE THE ROI AS PER THE RBI REGULATION WHILE INCREASING OR DECREASING.”

When I checked with HDFC bank in Gurgaon Mehrauli road First India place they said they will convert the rate of interest however I have to Rs 2159 as processing fees.
I have paid them the amount however my query remain there as “Bank has increased the ROI as per their current rate last year(without notifying me) and charged me nothing however when the ROI has gone down they want me to pay them to revise the rate to their current rate i.e 10.75%” is this a joke.

More over they have no answer to this question and doesn’t entertain such talks.

I would really never do any business with HDFC again. They only rob citizen of their own nation .Complete Bhrashtrachar!!!

I am a credit card holder with HDFC Bank. For the past 3 months I have been receiving statement in which in the name of "Financial Charges" they have been deducting Rs.769.85 as per (08/01/2012), Rs.548.29 as per (08/12/2011), Rs.394.51 + Rs.29.05 as per (08/11/2011), Rs.358.13 as per (08/10/2011). When I asked their customer care about this they reversed Rs.358.13 on 02/11/2011. Now again I asked them why they are repeatatively been charging some amount they say its as per their policy, go and read the documents in welcome kit. I simply asked them one question, why u r providing 2 amounts in the statement and as well in the payment gateway (i.e.), Minimum amount due for each month and the Total dues. As a customer, what will we do that I am supposed to pay only the minmum amount due pertaining to this month. Bcoz nowhere in the statement it is mentioned that minimum amount due is going to attract "financial charges". Moreover, the customer executive to whom we ask abt this, they say based on the capacity we have fixed these amounts. This is like adding salt on one' fresh wound. I dont know on what basis these people are adjudging the capacity of the customer and for illiterate people to understand. I dont know which bank gives credit card to illiterate. If they are doing so, then their entire motive is to swindel the money of the customer. Added to this, they say that this is RBI' policy. This shows that there is no corporate social responsibility in the bank. I want a clarification on this and compensation for the way in which these people treat the customers. I wish RBI and consumer forum looks into this matter seriously as this is not only my concern, its is a huge concern for all the people in the country. Not many people are aware of this credit card and its various cycles, though literate or illiterate. These sort of hidden financial behaviour and the attitude has brought USA down in 2008. My sincere request to RBI and the consumer forum of India is to take this matter and act on this seriously.
