A sales executive from Citibank contacted me to take a credit card. I applied for it an among the documents they asked me to submit a cancelled cheque. the reason for this I was told was to verify the signature. After taking the card I didnt use it for nearly 6 months as I did not need to. I was called repeatedly from their Chennai call centre to start using it.
After I use it I have not been charge Rs. 225 for an ECS that seems to have bounced.
Firstly, i did not authorise them to set up an ECS.
Secondly, whenever I try to call them and am about to be transferred to a phone banking executive the calls is disconnected after one or two rings.
Thirdly, my bank ICICI has also levied a charge on my account because the ECS seems to have bounced.
Now when I call these companies they are both directing me towards each other saying that the other will rectify the problem.
I have asked Citibank to remove the ECS and the charge as well as pay the charge on my bank account but they have not responded. I am very disappointed specially because they have spoiled my bank record. Was this information helpful? |
what is the problem? pls specify.
Thanks.
