Sub: Complaint against your Mumbai - 'Malad' Branch
regarding not returning of cheques issued by me.

Dear Sir / Madam,

This is to bring to your kind notice that I had taken a loan of Rs. 35, 000/- from your bank vide cheque no. 865491 dated 14/11/06, for which I had to issue four undated cheques (Three cheques for Rs. 1804/- each, and one cheque of Rs. 35, 000/-) to your Malad branch as security.

Then, due to my 'Good' repayment record, a second loan of Rs 48, 000/- was granted to me, and after adusting the balance of Rs. 28, 924/- of the previous loan and other charges, I was issued a cheque of Rs. 10, 500/- dated 10/10/07, for which I had to again issue four more undated cheques (Three cheques of Rs. 1863/- each, and one cheque for Rs. 48, 000/-).

But at the time of the second loan, I was promised by Mr. Santosh of your Mumbai - Malad branch (Your executive dealing with me) that the cheques issued by me at the time of the first loan would be returned to me within three weeks' time, as that loan had been squared up. (The same thing was promised to me by Mr. Ashish - the executive who dealt with me at the time of the first loan - that as soon as that loan was closed, the cheques would be returned to me)

But inspite of repeated reminders to Mr. Santosh over phone, and inspite of his repeated promises, those cheques have not yet been returned to me.

Not only that, Mr. Santosh has now started avoiding my calls too. I had also spoken to Mr Huserca, who - as I was told about two to three months back - was the manager of your Malad branch at that time, but he also, inspite of promising to sort out the matter, never even bothered to call me. Whenever I call up your Malad branch, some new executive talks to me, stating that Mr. Santosh is either busy in a meeting, and would call me back, or on leave, or out of the office. Everyone - including Mr. Vaibav and Ms Karuna - to whome I have spoken twice or thrice had promised that they would get Mr. Santosh to call me back but he has never done so.

So much so, even my repeated warnings to your Malad branch, as well as to the ladies who call to remind me of the installment date, that I would stop paying my installments if those cheques are not returned to me, have fallen on deaf ears. Please understand that they were just warnings, and I don't ever want to default on my commitments.

Hence I would request you that as a responsible officer of your establishment, to please do the needful and get the above stated cheques returned to me soonest possible.

Thanking You,

Sincerely Yours,

Umesh Luthra
