Hello Team,

I have Dell Studio 1550 laptop with service tag B6RD7K1-DY.

Currently, I am facing problem as follows:

· Laptop does not come up and gives 7 continuous beeps. (May be Motherboard issue)
· Last few months laptop was getting hang and I end up with reboot
· Display screen shows 7 star-points kind of symbols which appear very disturbing.


Due to this I am running into big business loss as I called up Online Dell technical support 3 weeks back and even reached out to Pune Dell Service center.

I always get reply “Parts not available” DS-1550 laptop manufacturing stopped by dell and other nonsense stuff.

Requesting you to quickly look into this issue and assist me to get fix from Dell for all issue as I will be on business trip to USA next month and want fix this issue asap.

DELL — Poor product and tech support

Dell service is horrible in India. I have a very bad time with Dell XPSm1530 laptop. Do not believe the award winning service rubbish on their web site. I had a flickering screen within 3 months of sparing use. They changed the motherboard and now it is completely blank. No support for last 10 days. No response from the dell Bangalore office. The service reps in Pune and Mumbai do not pick up the phone. All in all I think it was one of the biggest mistake in my life to buy this over advertised laptop. Why don’t we all get together and sue in the consumer court for misleading consumers and false advertising about product support.
i totally agree with u Dr.Vinay.DELL is really an overadvertised product fooling atleast indian consumers.even they guarantee replacement of parts under complete cover but the question is how come a new laptop of such a reputed company(i assumed it was) can get screwed on the second day of its purchase(asi have seen many).i live in a hostel and atleast 30 dell laptops have been purchased in past 3 months and every day something terrible happens to someones laptop.and the service they provide is again state of the art.I am totally convinced that dell is using secondhand or repaired parts otherwise there is no reason for these things.even dell customer service representatives have no answer for that all they say is we will replace that soon(ofcourse with another repaired one).

DELL — bad support

Dear Sir,
I have been following up with Dell for servicing and repairing of my workstation from more than a week now.
Dell support is not even close to award winning. They give reasons like the part (SMPS) is not available in India and needs to be shipped and hence the delay.

Please address this problem as soon as possible as this means business loss to me. Dell is very callous in its approach to service clients.

I got my 15R Inspiron on 8th Sep 2010.. i was suppose to get 1year McAfee subscription .. but i got only a months subscription.. m into IT .. my office timings are different... tried talking to the Dell people on the toll free number many a times... whenever i cal up , get a response as executives are busy.. If any1 picks up d cal dey jst tel u dt dey r tranfering d cal to sum other person.. hell... dey never entertain any questions or any issues... dey jst keep transfering d cal and than the u get to listen to the same message saying that the executives are busy .. even i[censored] like stay on d line for 1 hr dey vil never entertain you... i told my dealer abt dis he said to call customer care ...

DELL — bad customer service

Dear Team,

My name is Shariq Khan and my laptop service tag no. is BNTH6Q1 ,few months ago i bought a laptop from dell in the hope of good customer service and product.but my all hopes went in vain since the day i bought this laptop.
Few days back i called dell helpline for a petty issue that my laptop wasnt detecting the USB pen drive.i called the helpline spoke to u r executive he took remote access of my system from me and kept doing sumthing for 20 mins.Later on he asked me to restart the system again when i did so my system wasnt getting restarted.i asked him what happen he dropped the call and never tried to call me back.then again i called the helpline again told the whole issue but again listening to everything the call was dropped again.again i called helpline again same story,again i did the same and same story was going on there.i called the helpline five times and near about three -four hours were wasted and my laptop was useless as it wasnt even powering on now.
Then i called the helpline last time and asked him to transfer my call to any of your senior on the floor,but that guy kept arguing with me and never transferred my call to anyone and finally that call was also dropped.he kept ensuring me of a call back next but as we all know "tommorow never comes"and this phrase has got high value in dell's tech helpline.

I kept struggling with my useless laptop my self and dell never came for the rescue.Again yesterday i called the tech helpline for the issue to request and engineer visit the guy muted my call and never came back he didnt even gave me a proper hold ,i kept hanging there for 8-9 minutes and then same story call drop.
Can anyone suggest me that have i made such a big mistake by buying a dell latop that i have been punished so long .Shame on dell and shame on your helpline if you guys cant resolve such a petty issue or if you guys are not capable of resolving these issues what you people are doing there.

I admit that i have made a big mistake of buying a dell laptop but plz dont punish me so badly.

Poor Customer support as they don't provide expected service for which we already charged and dont know how Indian governmnet allow them to do business without proper business plan
My brand new dell laptop: $800 to buy had immediate problems
* user accounts would not add/delete
* SD card reader not working
* touchpad enable/disable button not working

Dell phone support actually quite efficiently (hours) updated the bios and drivers. Fixed the SD card reader, but not the touchpad enable/disable.
During BIOS update I lost the helper and had to call back, then the nightmare began.

The software support person absolutely insisted that my keyboard is bad (although the keys worked fine) .While I explained the keys are working ok, he insisted that it had to be a hardware problem. 3 hours off from work plus replacing a keyboard with a new one (laptop keyboard replacement) same problem. (touchpad not working).

We called in to the 'hardware department' who insisted that "the hardware is fine, it is a software problem" while the software department insists "the software is fine, it must be a hardware problem". Back and forth, one department at Dell blames the other, and we go nowhere. Asking for a return gives no help. I see from all the other reviews that the standard routine is to send back & forth between their service center & back until your warranty expires, then tell you to shove off.

During our conversation, they repeatedly made false claims. Anyway, I won't go through everything. Suffice it to say, they said they will escalate my claim to senior management and I will get a call in 24 hours. I never got that call.

I saw a quality survey of dell, acer, hp, Lenovo, apple products. Dell is home machines were at the bottom 30% below even cheapest Chinese brand PCs.

I have been a long time Dell buyer, since 2003. I am planning to switch. Dell computer quality really seems to have gone downhill,

I really hope they pull it out of the gutter, I like buying from American companies.
