I had purchased a dell studio 1555 laptop last year. The laptop received to me after 10.10.2009. and the invoice(attached) date is 29.09.2009. Now the adaptor (charger) of the laptop is not working. I had called dell regarding this but they refused to take my complaint. Reason was given by them is the warranty is expired as on 29.09.2010. But according the due date mentioned on the bill the warranty should be up to 10.10.2010. I had also approached to dell for my warranty extension and I received a quote(attached) from dell. When I approached dell for warranty extension they don’t tell me expiration of the warranty. The dell agree that my will be expired as on due date 10.10.2010. In the mean time my adaptor is not working and I try to lodge a complaint regarding this and they refused it. So Honorable Form is requested to take necessary action on it. Because warranty should be counted form the date on which the laptop is delivered to the customer not the shipment date or invoice date. Customer should be get complete year for use the product under warranty. I shall be thankful for this help. Looking for a favorable response.
