[Resolved]  Dell Studio — Manufacturing Defect in My laptop

I have purchased my DELL studio laptop (service tag: 8TP****) on 30-08-08. After purchase of my system, I have faced weird problem with my DVD-ROM. It’s got replaced three times, which I think is a manufacturing defect from DELL. Because all two DVD-ROMs can`t be faulty.

I have contacted customer care several times for same problem but I didn`t got any satisfactory answer, why my DVD-ROM is replaced for so many times. What is the real problem? Every time
They say that some serious decisions are going on regarding this problem. Our technicians are working to resolve this issue.

I have sent around 3 emails to DELL on [protected]@dell.com on same issue, and one on
[protected]@tns-global.com and one in section o[censored]nresolved issues(case no. [protected]). IS there any method left to say “ HELLO, I AM IN BIG
PROBLEM, HELP ME”.


Now, there is only one thing left for me, and that is “CONSUMER FORUM”

Dell Studio — hard flap of lap top

when i open my flap of my lap top, it's seems to be very hard.if proper attention is not given there are the chances of breakeage in the flap kindly take some action soon.
The service providers I spoke with were all very nice and the on-site technician was very nice and helpful. My only frustration, was the second time I called to get help (because the problem with my computer was not resolved after the first time a phone service provider worked with me), I got transferred incorrectly 5 times. Each person was extremely nice and then said they would transfer to the correct number (all saying the same department) but after being transferred I was still not connected to the correct place. In speaking with other Dell users, I have found that this occurence seems to be relatively common. Other than that my experience with the Dell service team was great.
My wife bought a Dell while I was at Iraq and when I got back the first day I plugged it in it would not type a letter. I called the tech support they couldn't help me get it going. Later I called the warranty people and just wanted to simply get the address to send it back . For a hour being connected back and forth from one customer service person to the tech then back to a customer service person I could not get the person to tell me the address to send my computer back to get it fixed or replaced and then when I asked for the supervisor after 15 min waiting I couldn't get him so I had to hang up. I would not even tell my worst or best friend to buy a Dell. I have a compact for a year in the desert and it was a used one and I have not had a single problem with it.

Dell Studio 1555 — Manufacturing Defect

I bought Dell Studio in April,2010. From the day 1, it is hard to close or open my laptop. Later i started getting some creeking noise when i open/close my laptop.I called today to the Dell Customer care to inform this.... but the response is poor.
I was offered with a laptop replacement due to display problem {service tag 7Y5****}.A logistics person came to collect the defective one.But no is giving any information when i will get the new one .
You just need to establish an efficient communication with their warrant agents.

By my experience with dell bland, its just but perfect. I've dealt with their warrant services and they are leading among other manufacturers. They have a dell pro-support services portfolio which has worked so well for our company.

I purchased dell laptop(DELL 1525 NB Fully Loded[protected] from the office works. On that day i think i have purchased laptop of very Good Company but today i think i was wrong.
In the month of july i visited the office works for the repair of my laptop as its battery and the one of the key was not working. i was being informed by one of the dell employee that i have to pay 110 dollars for the ac adapter and the in the day or two the technical person will come to your home and will replace the key pad and the same was done. i recieved the ac adapter from your company vide invoice dated[protected].

Again i approached the dell on[protected] regarding the problem of my dell laptop, i was told by the dell employee that all the necessary repairs will be done within two days free of cost. Accordingly somebody contacted me and told that the some person will visit my home between 9-1pm on[protected] and the person named Prabu reached my house at 1.45pm despite of repeated request on his phone to come before 1 pm .
Mr Prabu replaced MB, Battery and AC Adapter free of cost .

The matter did not finish here i asked Mr prabu to rectify the problem of screw which were poped up from the laptop but he refused that the same is not covered under warranty and also refused for the same.

Mr Prabu brought Lcd Screen and other Parts with him but refused to repair.

I want to know :-
1. Why I was charged 110 dollars in the month of july 2009 when on[protected] the same was replaced free of cost.
2. Why my Laptop was not fully repaired despite of assurance given by the company that the same will be fixed free of cost.
3. Two parts of the laptop are missing after repair on[protected]
I would appreciate if you will look into the matter immediately failing which i have no other option to throw the laptop because it is very difficult for me to run laptop.

i had a studio 1558 and its resolution is on which is preferred as a defaullt but when im playing the vidieo or other few things are not very sharply displayed on vidies it has pixel spreads like patches i dono the resason i had tried all ways options i had in the laptop any one can help me can you kindly please mail me on this id [protected]@gmail.com rest of the things regarding the performance is beautiful exept the pixel patches
Your consumer survey is slanted toward Dell. You need open ended polls to learn what the problems are with your technicians.

The last technician I dealt with was a woman and did a great job of fixing my computer. The technician before her was a male and talked a good game but fixed nothing on my computer.

The prices you charge for technical service is outrageous especiallly when you get a blowhard egomaniacal tech like I got with no results.

If you had the same experience, you would be upset too!!

Dell Studio — Service issue

I have taken a laptop with 3yrs full warranty from Dell and now I got a problem.

This laptop has been gifted by one of my friends.My friend has taken this laptop from a known person but I dont know on whose name its been registered.

Now when I call them they are asking the name where laptop has been taken. Even though I have all the info related to laptop other than the name it is taken on Dell service team is not going to accept it.

Can you please help me in resolving this issue.

battery backup

Now a days i got the problem related to battery backup. I have a Dell Vostro laptop purchased in august 2013 with 1 year warrenty service.

Dell Inspiron 3521

i buyed Dell INSPIRON 3521 . JUNE-7th-2014. it not BOOTING and BEEP Sound Coming. not opening... Tick Tick sound coming now. i called customer care they told out of warrenty. how it OUT OF WARRENTY?.

DVD DRIVE AND SPEAKERS NOT WORKING.
