[Resolved]  Employees Provident Fund Organisation - Mumbai — Non Receipt of Cheque

Dear Sir,

I worked for a Renowned company and resigned 3 Years back, they have sent a cheque towards my PF Dues from EPF, Bandra, Mumbai directly to my Bank account which is a salary account, the Bank has closed the Bank Account since there are no further salary credits.The so said cheque was sent to me by the bank as marked as " Account Closed".
And the now the story begins, I send the cheque to the EPF-Mumbai on 07.03.2008 requesting to issue a new cheque in a another Bank Account in the same Name, after so many struggles I am able to reach them by Phone, they asked for a Letter from my Previous Employer that I am the Person mentioned in the cheque( Who else would have send back the cheque) then I got the letter and send it too. Now they are asking to get the acknowledgement in letter which I submitted earlier.
Are the Peoples at the EPF are really qualifieds? Such a Big Hurdle is there to get our hard earned money.Asking some stupid details(Sorry to use these words).
You won't believe the Amount receivable by me was Rs.6537/- till now I have spend more than Rs.1500/- on STD Calls and couriers.
