[Resolved] Faber Kitchen Chimney (Faber Make, Stainless Steel, Solaris 680lt10) — FABER KITCHEN CHIMNEY COMPLAINT | |
I purchased a kitchen chimney of Faber make in the month of July 2009.After installation of the same by the company technician ,we observed that the chimney is not working.I complaint about the same in the nearest service center M/s Nikki Enterprise, Silliguri, but nothing changed.After that I collected the contact number of the service engineer of the company Mr debasish Mitra, who is based in Kolkata.After that the technitian visited our place and tried to repair the same.But the Chimney was having some manufacturing defects which could not be repaired henced he suggest us to ask the dealer M/S Bharat Marbles, Silliguri to change the unit as it was not working and moreover was within the gurrentee/warantee period. But still it is the same. when I contacted Mr Debasish Mitra again,he told that he cannot help me in this regard. Its been 3(three) months and I am suffering because of the negligence of the other party.I requested them severall times either to fix the problem or to change the unit but all in vain.Nither the service center nor the distributer or the company is giving any response. I have purchased Faber Kitchen Chimney, Model BF 50090BK at a cost of Rs.10, 000.00 on 31.03.2009. Guarantee period for all manufacturing defects was only one year. But that does not mean just after a lapse of one year it will stop functioning or motor will go out of order and I have to procure another new one. Therefore, it needs an annual budget for Chimney alone which goes to justify that Faber kitchen chimney will not within the limits of mediocre family. I have registered complaint with the distrbutor who have sent his teenage mechanic to uninstall the same gadget and now they are demanding Rs. 2500/- for motor replacement which will be within an warranty period of one year further. I do not find any remedy for such hide and seek business strategy of Faber Heatkraft. I agree I have my chimney is already two year old but actually it came into use for nearly 1 1/2 year since we used to stay in Kolkata very frequently.
